Scotchy tell me to mind my own business if you want, but there's never a 'a last time.' That's what we all say, then when that's gone there's another n another..... etc. you're best just stopping if this is what you want.

I'm assuming your rehab doesn't have a detox facility then?

The petrol station opening times in Ireland cost me a job once... I drove to Waterford, spent the day there doing a weld test and was due to drive up to Intel in Dublin for an induction to start work at 7am... Myself and my mate got up at 5 am and started driving, realised we hadn't enough petrol to make it to Dublin, phoned a local lad and asked what time the petrol stations open and it turned out they open at 7 or 8 or 9, I forget. No 24hr petrol stations anywhere... We had to pull over and wait, subsequently got the sack. I phoned the boss to tell him we couldn't make the induction and shall we come back next week.

He said "if ye can't be gettin to an induction we shan't be lookin for ye"

Ahh man that is shit! Yeah it's ridiculous here, moving from London back to ere was like going back in time, I'm actually in Waterford too funnily enough!

The most technologically advanced thing here is wifi on the buses.. I wish I was joking!

Yeah the 24hr petrol thing has caught me a few times, the big tescos by me was 24hr and changed to 6am to 12am but still have the big fuckin '24hr petrol' sign up so a few occasions at 3am if have ran outta baccy or w/e n would walk there to find the fucker shut!

Embarrassingly it wasn't the one time I made that mistake either =D
 
Yeah ill be detoxing there.. I'll be using up until I go in, what I meant by stopping is hammering the shit out of it... My body isnt thanking me for it I know that much.

Edit - it wasn't Waterford, it was Dungarvan the actual place I went to.. is it County Waterford??? Waterford was on the address anyway.

Oh dont get me wrong, tesco is open, it's just they have covered over the booze and close the aisles! It's crazy that this is still going on in this day n age!

Ah that make sense then. That'd be my thinking, to be honest. Have as much as you (sensibly for any lurkers, lurking) as you're not gbmna be having it again so best make the most of it. I didnt know yours had a detox unit cause some are separate. We have a detox unit here n rehab separate. They even have houses (shared accomodation) for addicts post-rehab n a scheme to help people out of prison.

There's a lady recently out of jail in my recovery group. She's really lovely n wants to help addicts in equality n diversity.

Yea mine's a small Tesco branch. It's a supermarket, not a garage branch but not one of their 'Tesco Extra' (I think they're called) branches.

Finally they're giving us Christians the respect we deserve. Not to sound racists but due to a lot of cultures n others religions, I felt that Christian was being pushed out in the UK n us not being allowed to proper have n express our beliefs. This has reinforced my faith in society. As well as we should acknowledge n respect other cultures n religions it should not be at the sacrifice of religions such as Christianity.

It makes me question whether I'm ready to come off it though. I've steadily being plodding along on a couple of bags a day for a long time, not getting a buzz but just quenching my thirst. I find out im going to rehab and I go hell for leather cramming as much in me as I can..

Even injecting, something I've never done in the whole time I've been an addict.. :?

We shall find out I guess...

I am full of the man-flu and feel like shit for the third day running. Hot and cold sweats and a horrible smoker's cough. Fuck this.
 
I've had flu the past week, was horrendous and still feeling a bit not quite right. summer needs to hurry the fuck up.
