I'd question how your machine is ticking over - if it's cooking on gas or coconut oil or speed, maybe it'll power through. But surely expect a crash sometime soon? No?

How is Felix ? suitably older than me I hope :D I'll send him a pic of my 'on the road' moped in it's latest incarnation soon, I know my garage bodgery will be apprecaited. I'm slowly mastering the MIG welder ATM, a dangerous beast a bit like a glue gun but hotter and more metally

I still have a set of full 2 piece leathers that will never be used again but I suspect the jacket would be way to big, I picked up armoured trousers and jacket in nylon type stuff for very little on fleabay, Aldi and Lidl have been selling bike gear of late as well. The moped has no battery although I'm considering doing the DC conversion to have one, the lights are really just for the MOT even with the 12Volt conversion they are as pitiful as the brakes.

I've just experienced the no tax disc thing as well so I've made up a fake 1964 one, bloody cheek not providing a disc, it was one of the only free things I manage to get.

At least he still has the beast tucked up, mine was off thee road for at least 18 months but I'd never sell it, I guess insurance is the issue, mine is cheap on this one but was a great deal more when I had the 1100 as well and didnt go down much when I swapped for the 400cc scooter of doom. It's too cold up in the north for bikes just yet anyhow, you'll get a short window around the end of August of you're lucky
