lyrica should be more widely prescribed for anxiety. Betablockers never really did me much good, but I know plenty of people who did benefit from taking them.

You gotta give any medication a chance and stick with the dosage regime for at least a month before you make your mind up about it. Also try not to read the sideeffects leaflet and don't have too much expectation before you start, give it some time and take the effect of it subjectively.
