Sorry, it's a sort of tradition. None of the females in my family were referred to any of their given names. For years I thought my mother's name was Nellie Dean, and my grandmother's name was Eileen. It was actually Emily.

Why I'm taking this strange brand of cruelty out on you, I don't know.

I'm finishing my soup and I'm either getting the whistle out or curling up with a book and a joint before I make a cup of cocoa and take my chemical ECT pills and lose my short-term memory. Oh, how dark the furrow I must plough, etc.
