Is it also a coffee shop or am I thinking of somewhere else?

I've been to Amsterdam before, I like the place. Definitely wouldn't describe it as "grim". The red light district is a bit grim (or at least the hookers in the windows & the sketchy dealers on the bridges are), a bit funny as well but mainly kind of sad & depressing.

Last time I went there was 4 of us, just wondering what it'd be like just cutting about myself. I suppose worst case scenario just find a comfortable coffee shop with half decent weed & a guy selling it who isn't a total arrogant arsehole (as they often are) & pitch up there for a few days until the flight home.


Re the Kate Middleton titties thing again - Would people be giving a fuck if it was some bint from random pop group? Is it because she's "the future queen OHMAGAWD BEST RESPECT HER - AYE FUCKING RIGHT" that everyone is getting up in arms about it, as though it is majorly out of order (which it kind of is) but they wouldn't give a shit if it was any other famous bird.

It is a coffee shop and a bar, with a hotel upstairs. It's right in the red light district so therefore is in a grim area.
 
saw a queue of at least 25 saudi blokes outside this one poor girls window in the dam, i pity the last guy, he ordered extra mayo with his crabs

Red Light District has a couple of decent bars & that in it & it's not exactly massive, 2 minute walk & you're away from it so that's not an issue. The hotel is already booked so I've not a choice there. Found the place to be pretty safe, even round about there, as long as you don't go trying to buy charliepillscharliepills from some random jakeball in the street.

If you think Amsterdam is really grim, try walking about Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow at club kick out time lol.

Ha, that's what I meant by "sad & depressing". We saw a team of about 10 Japanese tourists asking a girl "How much for all of us?". Laughed like fuck at first, then thought "Christ, she probably will just give them a price here & get on with it" :|
 
feeling quite fresh n buzzing after another brilliant weekend, spot on. surprised at how good im feeling after a combo of stuff over the weekend and not much sleep, dunno if that NEK has an afterglow from it or if its coincidence

First day back at uni not really feeling it, new procedures apparently theyve started taking registers now.. anyway gimme that student loan only a few more days now. Also on the kate middleton topless photos her tits are pretty rotten.

I've been to Amsterdam and hung out for 24 hours before the rest of the people arrived, or just went out myself as last time we had a flat and did our own thing. Cutting about coffeeshops yourself is epic-ly excellent, you just suit yourself, which when ripped is a seriously beautiful thing. Besides nothing more annoying than people trailing about with you when you want to hit up hookers all day long and just pick the coffeeshops you like.

Hill Street Blues is very nice to sit in, and there is the larger Greenhouse coffeeshop which is quite a distance away Green House, Tolstraat 91
1074 VG Amsterdam, Netherlands 020 6737430. It is empty, no tourists, huge couches and very spacious. The best kebab shop in Amsterdam is across the road also.

I also recommend the Apple Bijenkorf Amsterdam - this is the big department store just off Dam square, it's got fancy cakes in the window downstairs. If you go to the top floor, prob the best meal you'll have at their buffet...pretty fckin amazing.
 
Hookers really aren't my thing lol. Honestly.

Some recommendations for good coffee shops with decent music etc would be good. The last time I was there I had 3 other stoned cunts to amuse me so as long as the weed was decent & the seats were comfy I wasn't caring. I'm pretty sure I've been to Hill Street Blues before, it was years ago though.

Or I could be honest and tell them about the time I was unknowingly on a TV documentary about ambulance crews in Bristol on New Years eve listing all the drugs my mate had taken after falling off a statue and knocking himself out :o It was a long list. I was too fucked to notice the cameras.
 
Aye go Amsterdam PTCH. Hieneken brewery is an OK way to waste a few hours and you get a couple of beers included in the price. Second time I went I stayed well away from the weed (because of what happened the first time with the space cake incident) but still loved it, we bar crawled around the red light district and surrounding area from pub to pub, saw a show at Moulin Rouge and just had a right laugh. Next day we cycled around all day then got pissed again at night and went to a warehouse club. You'll not be short of things to keep you amused especially seeing as you like getting stoned.

if you go to Rookies on a quiet day the owners are sound as fuck, let me try out all their buds in a volcano for free, including their 50 a g bubble hash! and I got free reign of their internet jukebox :D
but buy your weed from somewhere like grey area or barneys or hill street blues

Not necessairly, I mean even with pv you can buy half grams, let's just say that there's people on these forums who buy 15g and then act all surprised when they lose the plot. Not talking about anyone in specific, just from memory there were lots posts from these types in the pv thread. Hey I fucked up myself a lot, but if you realize you're fucking, I agree just quit, as long as it's not something you're physically dependent it just takes a bit of motivation.
 
Yeah he popped up the other day when there was that post about 'the girls of Bluelight calendar' thing. I'm not quite sure what it was all about but at the first mention of BL fanny creepy knock turned up.
 
The internet is fucking spying on me. I was looking at a supplement on Holland & Baretts website earlier, since then that EXACT product has been advertised on 3 or 4 completely different websites I've been on. I was talking to someone (on here) via PM about Rio De Janeiro earlier, then someone messages me on another website and asks me about it THEN I visit a completely new website and all the adverts are advertising Rio De Janeiro hotels. Facebook is always at it, targeting messages at whatever I mention on there but I've noticed recently even things I don't talk about on FB but look / talk about on other websites then go on to Facebook, their ads are about that thing...which they should know nothing about unless they are spying on me even when I'm not on their website.

Pass me my tin foil hat. :sus:
