Not sure what exactly constitutes an original slovene dish. Most of the region has more or less the same ideas about food...
aanyway nothing can dissapoint when one is hungry
Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Bloody culchies :D
I'm not feeling too bad thanks guys! Managing to eat a bit now but have to be careful, too much and my bowel spasms and shuts down for the night, still very painful. But I'm moving and walking much better each day which is reassuring. Just gotta keep remembering it was a big op and not long ago still.
This one was open, I've had two open abdominal surgeries and two keyhole and I can assure you the open ones are much more sore and take longer to recover from!
I'm not too worried about the habit forming properties of codeine because I only use them when I have surgery. Maybe what's left when I'm not in pain will get bundled together into a couple of recreational doses but I'm not really bothered taking them too frequently, I don't like the high that much (reminds me of how I feel in hospital tbh).

Ahh I C....think Ballymena folk refer to Belfasters as Frankys too.
There's some shocking spide/barcode style taches round Belfast fo sho

....the people are gorgeous, so friendly.
To be fair Eve, you've done incredibly well not to bite with all the stinging criticism that has been thrown your way of late, so I tip my hat to you.

I had a lovely week travelling around Antrim with work a few months back (European Union structural funds shite). Based in Ballycastle we were all over the place, even seen the Game of Thrones set. There were plenty of boring officious meetings inbetween may I add, so it wasn't all fun...apart from the couple night lock ins at the local pub. Carnage

Loved the place - its special, the coastline is so very beautiful. Will be back for a holiday this year camping I reckon - it was that good!
Kate - I'm about 15 miles from Ballycastle and it really is beautiful up here on the North Coast. If you really want to go camping, may I recommend you go to the

Me. I appreciate that

Glad you enjoyed Antrim Kate. I suppose people over here generally are friendly but unfortunately most people over here (ni) are backward as fuck. Gay people aren't allowed to donate blood over here ffs.
Best to focus on our lovely land and scenery I supposed
Lets not even go onto abortion...I live about 15 miles from Ballycastle and it really is beautiful up here along the North Coast.
If you're serious about coming over camping, I would definitely recommend the Rathlin Island festival. You get a short ferry from Ballycastle over to the island. For a week, the population swells from 75 to a few thousand and great craic is had by all! It's in late May and I'm intending to go this year.
and promptly threw up a lot
I'm still not fully out to everyone -- I'm taking it very steadily, and coming out in stages. My co-workers are all absolutely sound about it, and most of the friends who know so far have been supportive. The family are going to be the hardest. If you don't want to answer, tis' fine, but at what age did you come out?
People are commending me for being a good mate but I don't see it as that. I just see it as being mates, and support in this sort of thing is not something you can separate from being mates. She has not slighted me or betrayed me so nothing should change. Nobody has disowned her over it, but there are a few people who have become virtual strangers; were your friends ok with it/how long did it take for it to feel normal?
I'm west of Ballycastle, east County Derry near the border with County Antrim.
There's not much info on this year's festival yet:

There's probably more information on FB but more will be put up nearer to the time. It be a great chance to meet if you did pop over!
