Gibberings CLXXXIX - Squirrel Nut Zippers, the Albert Hall and going cookerless

Yeah mate, I use Fruity Loops 10. I wish I had all the old skool hardware, synths and samplers ect but they are expensive and you can get good results from digital vst's. I just use the vst's that come with fl10, self taught and always learning new things -tis a good hobby to have.

I remember going into a second hand shop in the late 80s when digital was starting to take over and they had shelves full of old Moog analogue synths for 30 quid. How I wish now I'd bought one...

Ahh shit, I had the same thing with the Roland TB303 in a second hand shop -the bloke had no idea what it was and only wanted £50 for it but I passed as it had no leads which in hindsight is fuck all but I so wish I bought it. Done the same sort of thing with vinyl in the early 00's, brand new tunes that I passed on and now go for £100+. Swindon used to have a few really good vinyl shops, don't think they have any at all now.

maybe its time to go to second hand shops and buy cheap merchendise. who knows what will be worth a lot in the future...

predictions anyone?

The forget me nots are totally driving their message home.... They won't bloom until next spring. In hindsight I probably shouldn't have forgotten.

Roland TB303 is worth a lot so buy if you happen to chance across it for cheap. The Roland Jupiter synth is another classic that is worth a fair bit. Roland TR909 is another to keep a look out for. A lot of the second hand shops don't really know what they have.
