Gibberings CLXXXIX - Squirrel Nut Zippers, the Albert Hall and going cookerless

Is that fruity loops by any chance? I used to dabble a bit with Octamed on the Amiga A500, then FL then a bit of cubase. But I do have a soft spot for the old trackers & samples.

Yeah mate, I use Fruity Loops 10. I wish I had all the old skool hardware, synths and samplers ect but they are expensive and you can get good results from digital vst's. I just use the vst's that come with fl10, self taught and always learning new things -tis a good hobby to have.

Sanding down walls. What a lovely job this is. Kids eating tea so will have to continue later n have some tea :)

PS: is happy as a certain person is speaking to me again. Hate arguing with friends.

Evey

It really is a pain in the arse job. I had to sand down a wooden floor to be painted a few years back and it was back breaking. I didn't even have a sanding machine!

I had to do the exact same thing many years ago, but under the highly critical observation of a father still seething with resentment from the times his father had done the exact same thing.

Both a pain in the arse and a psychological quandary.

I can imagine it now, poor wee Sammy on his knees and working his wee arse off, occasionally glancing up at his papa hoping for some glance of approval.

Except, all he hears is a dull rhythmic clap, all he sees is a small shillelagh rising and falling into his father's cruel palm and the look of bitter expectation in those cold, hard eyes.

You were there, weren't you?
