I think most people on here are candid about their drug use (bar Brimz) as nearly everyone takes drugs of some form on a daily basis. Yes you have the weekend warriors but other than them I would bet over half of this forum partake in poly drug use most days, yeah some scripted drugs but drugs be drugs.

Akvavit for breakfast, Tuborg for lunch. Whiskey for tea. Followed by Jager ( before all the cool kids ruined Jager and started drinking it with lager)

Alcohol is a Dane's speciality ...

It's good of you to show concern where needed, but yep, I think plenty of us go without every now and then. Possibly we're just a bit quieter when sober.. ;)
 
Ive heard of several countries claiming to be drinking problem hotspots, including the UK, Norway, Russia, and Iceland. The shitty weather and long dark nights of the northern hempishphere would seem to be a common factor. Not heard Denmark mentioned until now but i dont doubt it. Same thing goes for crime/car crime, wherever anybody is from in the UK they seem to claim to have the worst car/crime stats in the country; Manchester, Sunderland, Reading/Basingstoke, w/e. I really dunno which is truly the worse for either problem. I think other countries have bigger percentages of the population with drug problems than the UK, and it's pretty rife in certain areas over here.
 
Yeah, those are the same figures I've read. To be fair, they were only published recently.

Lithuania doesn't surprise me at all. Nor does Russia, obviously.

Im also surprised, so much for the 'continental/French way' in particular of drinking supposedly being a good example to us all. Where the fuck is Russia? I'm sure I heard some reporter saying a few months ago that drinking problems are so bad over there, that the average life expectancy for Russian Males is ~55 as a direct result. :?:sus:

EDIT: Just seen that there are 2 lists, and Russia is high up on the 2nd one but doesnt appear on the first, due to not being counted as part of the OECD. :sus:
 
realized i've stopped smoking without even trying. I was too poor for a few months, then when I got money again I realized I just didn't want too anymore. Weird.

If Scotland was put on separately from the rest of the UK, we would be right near the top.

The figure from 2009/2010ish was 12.2l per capita which would put us in joint 3rd place... I assume it has probably dropped a bit since then. I can't find any more up to date figures.

At that point in time, we were drinking 25% more than folks in England who were drinking 9.7l per capita.
