^ Your gonna end up banned goldilocks

FACT!

Consider this your final warning, FG. I'm saying it here cos if I infract you it triggers a tempban and wanted to make that abundantly clear to you to give you a last chance. You have been asked repeatedly - politely, informally and formally - and the only sanction left is an infraction. You already have existing points so one infraction will trigger an automatic tempban. Looking at your profile it won't be a short one either. It would be ridiculous to get yourself tempbanned for weeks for the sake of embedded music links but you are as aware of the rules as anybody else - if not more so - so please do think carefully before posting another embedded music link cos it was never the intention that anybody would actually get themselves tempbanned for it. There's only so many requests and warnings we can give before it reaches pisstake territory and you are teetering right on the brink of that as it stands.

awwwww be nice on FG.

His incessant satanic rock music youtube posting gives EADD it's charm. A deicide wrath of God link midsentence always puts a smile on my face.

It was broadcasted, i watched it the other night, there were lots of censor beeps throughout the broadcast though. The broadcast didnt have that cartoony little girl singing thing though. I suspect that the BNP have had their day and that UKIP will take most of their votes this time round in any case.

It's not a case of being nice or nasty it's a case of enforcing the rules as per job description. We put a rule in place about embeds and can't pick and choose who it applies to - it's all or none.

Raas was being sarcastic

No I was sorta being serious. His random satanic rock music and avril lavigne videos I find kinda endearing. I used to find it annoying but kinda got used to it now

You were old enought to go to glastonbury in '91 and you've never been to a freeparty even though you want to? Duuuude.....

I'm only 26 and I definitely missed out on the good days, you had the chance to be there though! You're right the travellers used to set up in a field next to glastonbury festival and hold a free party every year, the police put a stop to that though.

I just didnt know the right people at the right time, i was slightly too young, I'd have been about 14 at the height of the thing, there was no internet word of mouth thing going on back then. If i'd been in the right place at the right time i would have at least attended some of their events if not actually succeeded in getting shacked up with some dreadlocked girl in a converted bus taking part in their convoys. I was 'coming of age' just at the point in time where Thatcher had introduced all these new laws to make life difficult for them, and make their gatherings illegal and the police started battering them and trashing their vehicles at their camps or on the roads.

There were a couple of proper old school gypsies amongst our group in Sunderland but they decided to be college drop outs and hang out with students rather than take to the road in old busses and stuff like that. Its probably for the best that it never did happen for me, an ex-workmate of mine was part of the scene for ten years, his face is on the cover of a book about the whole scene, he's got ten years on me, and said that nearly all of his traveller friends have long since died, mainly due to heroin.

Any ravers round the south west. Lots of free parties, Ridgeway, Sailsbury plains (lol), lol because you see tanks and shit when your raving.

I'm all for arranging a free party on Pembroke firing range, any rigs interested feel free to PM me. 400ft cliffs above the sea, concrete bunkers to hide out in, total greenery and the fuckers only use it on Tuesdays anyway.

PS I've been going to free parties since 1998, let's do it. ;)

Given I know where you used to live (living there myself now) how did you miss them? It's perfect free party territory around these parts cos is so secluded. Damnably pretty too which is always a bonus. Is a bit of a case of who you know but I know no bugger and managed to hear about a good few. Y'know that valley laden with tipis and hippies near here... ;)

I can only guess that i just didnt try hard enough to make it happen. They didnt really 'mingle' with the locals too much, I met one really 'out there' guy, one of those people with the 'presence' of a true guru mystic or something, he also had a stunningly beatiful hippy girlfriend, he invited me to their camp, it is a regret that i didnt go.

Owen why do you always have to be so damn arrogant? I have never been to a rave or a "free party" either but would like to have. Not everyone knows how to go about it. Honestly have you wondered why you get into a lot of arguments here? You really do think you're a cut above.

Leave MDB alone. He's one of the nicest people on EADD n I'm fed up of seeing you start things with people here.

Evey

Ive not read anything like that into what Owen is saying. Not at all. He's just telling it as it is, which is no skin off my nose.

I am sick of FGk n his embeds. I don't give a f what he's on the rest of us have to obey the rules. I'm putting him on ignore until he learns how to grow up n respect others n not be so woe began.

Evey

Fair enough MDB I've deleted my post. You're nice nice for your own good you are xxxx

Yeah I guess things were different back then, especially up in the wilds of sunderland! Think most of the travelling hippy free parties were midlands annd south. Totally right about the word of mouth thing, that was how I got in to parties. Knew an older lad who knew a few rig owners and got their partyline and started going to their parties and picked up more numbers etc whilst we were at the parties. Back then it was quite easy to get partylines as rigs would hand out little business card size flyers with their number on and stuff like that.

We also then found out about a website where not only were there parties advertised but often actual directions etc. Then in the mid/late noughties the police started getting hot on that sort of thing and even used the gallery section of said website as evidence in the prosecution of certain party organisers slapping them down with massive fines/ASBOs and that sort of thing. The whole internet thing went completely dead for a while and then some people just started brazenly organising parties on facebook and stuff like that and it's kind of been a running battle since then. Often get parties advertised on facebook these days but no location or partyline so you have to know the number.

I don't go out very often these days though, mid noughties were my glory days regarding squat parties really. You're right about the smack and the traveller scene too, destroyed it. Rumors abound about the OB purposefully introducing it to stamp them out and shit like that but who knows.

There's loads of good docs on youtube about the whole scene, battle of the beanfield, spiral tribe and all that sort of thing that make good watching. Lots of period coppers with posh voices and grubby hippies.=D

Revolting as it is, it's probably more watchable than any of the standard PPBs. At least it was nice and colourful with penguins and shit. You don't get half the entertainment value from actual political parties. The cute little girl singer was not the greatest cute little girl singer ever though. I know a bit out of tune is a bonus but the material she had to work with let her down. Can BNP writers genuinely not count? How hard is it to fit syllables to a tune? Hate and vitriol is one thing but amateurish hate and vitriol is frankly embarrassing.

Fucking beautiful innit! That pic must have been taken on Monday or something because it looks really quiet, but I climbed that same hill from where the picture was taken on sunday and it was bliss, fucking banging party!

Evey: Please just put me on ignore and leave me alone you mad old wench.

Love those rolling hills. Need to get my mountain bike in the car and do some exploring of my own local hill/mountains.

I'll have to find some of those documentaries. I cant recall the name of the book; something like Outlaws, Briggands and Vaggabonds, but an internet search isnt yielding anything. I'll have to be very persistent and determined in order to find it.

I don't know if it's still up but there was a photographer called Alan 'Tash' iforgethissurname who was part of the community and documented the whole era through photographs, really interesting and worth having a look at. I'll see if I can search it out.
