That ain't no techno. Germany has some of the best techno clubs in the world (berghain, tresor etc) and they don't play that.

That's just pure shite, no one can defend enjoying that, except maybe people who like this. Unfortunately people will call any electronic dance tack with a four to the floor beat techno.:X
 
Fuck yeah, it's less common these days but when I started going in the early noughties it was pretty common for a party to start on saturday night and go on until monday night.

They tend to be either in the arse end of nowhere or in a warehouse on an industrial estate. I've been to ones in office blocks, leisure centres, cinemas all sorts though.
 
I feel as if ive missed out, as ive never been to one of those 'free parties' either in an abandonded building or a field in the middle of nowhere. At Glastonbury in 91 or 94 a group of travellers had set up their own mini unofficial sound system in a private wooded area which i happened to stumble upon. I'd have liked to have stayed for a bit as i was probably speeding IIRC but the looks i received from the obviously close nit group didnt make me feel very welcome to join them. You win some, you loose some. I met some travellers in Mid Wales and they told me where their site was, when i turned up there was no party and no one looked approachable enough to score any weed/hash or speed from. 8(

My neighbour had tunes banging late last night. I went to bed about 3am and could hear bass thumping. I couldn't give a fuck though, party on as far as I'm concerned, I just stuck some headphones on and went to sleep.

You were old enought to go to glastonbury in '91 and you've never been to a freeparty even though you want to? Duuuude.....

I'm only 26 and I definitely missed out on the good days, you had the chance to be there though! You're right the travellers used to set up in a field next to glastonbury festival and hold a free party every year, the police put a stop to that though.

Consider this your final warning, FG. I'm saying it here cos if I infract you it triggers a tempban and wanted to make that abundantly clear to you to give you a last chance. You have been asked repeatedly - politely, informally and formally - and the only sanction left is an infraction. You already have existing points so one infraction will trigger an automatic tempban. Looking at your profile it won't be a short one either. It would be ridiculous to get yourself tempbanned for weeks for the sake of embedded music links but you are as aware of the rules as anybody else - if not more so - so please do think carefully before posting another embedded music link cos it was never the intention that anybody would actually get themselves tempbanned for it. There's only so many requests and warnings we can give before it reaches pisstake territory and you are teetering right on the brink of that as it stands.
