you can block anybody on the ios app by deleting them from your contacts and then enabling 'ignore non-contacts':

We've also spoken about this before, admittedly I'm an unsociable bastard but I do take my privacy quite seriously, randoms contacting you can range from friendly folk, wanna be suitors, those wanting to put you in a chest freezer a piece at a time to fraudsters of all flavors.

I'm not sure of the circumstances of this incident so I'm just seeking in general, I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize and just add them to my blocked app. I'm very selective about who is on my FB account, run a number of email accounts separating one thing from another and using throw away accounts for random website registering etc. these can be setup in minutes and abandoned even quicker.

I recently came across a secure and free messaging app called SureSpot (although I'm sure others are available) it's both encrypted and you can only be contacted by invited others with your ID.

I have some cause in my work to keep up to date with the dark world of online fraud and such crime, in most cases very simple precautions would prevent such attacks and these are big businesses making fundamental errors.

Your online security is totally in your own hands, if people you don't want to be in contact with are managing to track you down, take an hour and 'turn poacher' simply use Google and see how much you can find out about your self from the information you are exposing publicly, if you find yourself feeling uncomfortable with it then do something about it.

Email addresses, forum accounts, FB accounts etc are all easily abandoned, you know who your 'real' friends are so you can update them on your new details which shouldn't have any obvious connection to the old ones.

I do admit I have difficulty, at times, seeing that people do things different to me n why (I'm probably thick lol) for instance, I was on a fitness group once on Facebook with a load of other women like me, automatically assumed they were single n became disappointed to realise they all had partners (was going through a dark phase in my life) anyway, my point with this exemplar, is that I can't understand why anyone would want to spent time stalking, belittling, hunting-down or belitling others.

It seems like such a waste of time n energy when there are more productive things to do like getting to know interesting folk, as people are on EADD. Adding someone rto msger to try n mess with head seems pointless, childish, immature n I really don't understand why these people do it. Do they not have lives? It's truly disturbing that someone or a group of someones can be that fixated on another person it's I cannot comprehend it at all.

I know what a lot have said about changing my name on here but there's no point because I will not be able to keep the pretence n stay anonymous. I'm not fake n would feel so. That's why I've never tried going anonymous because I know there's no use. Besides I thought they'd leave me alone by now I've been here sonce 28 September, 2013.

So what I've decided to do is delete my msgers, chsnge my Ids on them n only give my ID to people already on my msger, re-add them or people can ask for my ID. That way they can't do this anyway.

Thanks for you advice, I have acknowledged it. It's why I made a new E-mail address etc. I honestly wish I could have gone back n been more secure n altert to this. But I honestly thought people wouldn't waste time doing stuff like that to me - I don't think I'm that interesting. I'm just anothet poster on Bluelight.
