Afternoon Shambles, Dan, FG etc. How you all doing today?
I'm doing ace apart from a phone company who shall remain nameless - because it's disrespectful for me to name n shame on open form.

Actually somebody did point out who Bob Hoskins was (he's the fella in the pic who isn't Roger Rabbit - he was a well-known British actor). You know there's also this thing they have on the intrawebz they call 'Google' which is surprisingly handy for finding stuff out sometimes ;)

I'm doing just dandy thanks, Evey. Quiet day so not much to report. "Doing ace" sounds better than being "just dandy" - you been up to exciting and fun things today then?

I was making conversation. No offence but why does everyone have to be funny making remarks about Google? I am partially sighted and can't always see all details of pictures. Someone mentioned some Bob Hoskins so I tried to join in the conversation by asking who he was so i wasn 't being ignorant. I'm aware that I could easily use Google.

Absolutely fucking lol at not wanting to name and shame a phone company on a drugs forum. im sure they wont take it too personally evey, what company is it?
 
^ Actually BL doesn't give a shit whether or not you name and shame a company as long as they don't sell drugs too. Name and shame away - it's opinion and fair comment. I doubt you'd quite make it to libel.

Probably because Google (other search engines are available) tends to be the place most people would first turn to to ask questions. It's nothing personal and certainly nothing to do with your sight issues - it's just standard practice to google something if unsure about it. All joking aside, if you don't use Google for such purposes you really are missing a trick cos it's very handy to be able to quickly check up on something and find your answer. I have somewhat mixed feelings about it what with it being a place of vile pigdoggery but must admit it is rather handy too. Just wish they were a bit less creepy in their data-gathering obsession. Also in their swallowing up all competition obsession but such is the raison d'être of corporations... along with making obscene profits at the expense of others. I'm heading somewhat off topic now so will shut up.

Pee Ess: I do as I do as well as what I say in this instance - Google is also rather handy for double-checking spellings and also getting those fiddly accents and the like which are a nightmare to apply unless you happen to memorise Ascii codes (if that's what they are).
 
Awh sorry. I do use Google. At one time I got addicted to it lol. I just think at times its a way of continuing conversation n letting others know I 'm not as aware of they are of something - so I don 't come across as ignorant.

I 'm assuming he was an actor on Roger Rabbit. (Will look later) watched that film years ago.

He was the one in Roger Rabbit who wasn't a cartoon yes. He was also in some of those 80s British gangster films like Long Good Friday. Don't think he's been in much recently but don't pay anywhere near as much attention to films as I used to for some reason.
