I'm sure the conversation will flow again, anyhow. We have some entertaining and informative posters around after all. It's at times like this you realise just how much the likes of Cornishman brought to the forum. Things were bound to drop off a bit.
Agreed. On all points. Several times now I've found myself missing Cornishman's posts. They were very much unique and really did liven the place up. Small consolation in knowing that it was very much appreciated by all at the time - and that he was aware of that too - and is not just hindsight or rosy-tinteds. There have been a number of regular posters who are no longer regularly posting for a number of reasons of late. We've lost far too many these last couple years - not all in the very final sense but several for assorted other reasons. It's perhaps no surprise that it's become a bit quiet and will no doubt take a while to pick up. It will pick up though - we've had periods of going through significant losses of regulars (usually not through them actually dying - not to the extent we've had recently) where it seemed EADD would remain a shadow of its former self but it's always gotten back on track with new members becoming regulars. I think we've lost a lot over a short period and will just take a while for newer members to swell the ranks and establish themselves as regular members clogging up Gibberings with suitable levels of actual gibber.
