Got fuck all done today, but delighted to discover that music is still sounding fucking great without ANY drugs except for the fading remnants of the metabolites of last nights etizolam. I really thought i had ruined music for myself, as drugs seemed to enhance it. Well no they didnt seem to, they did, but its still enjoyable without ze drooga.

Funnily enough, I saw you in the choons thread and just assumed you'd been taking stims!

Glad to hear it. You shouldn't have to take drugs in order to appreciate music. Unless it's just bad music of course.

^ Agreed sammy. and good to hear you've not taken anything MDB, yeah if you truely love music it'll always be enjoyable with or without drugs

Cheers on the comments, vocal volume balance is a bit off. love those guys speeches, legends. thought id slap them together

Breaking bad one i did recently as well,

Breaking Bad - Tribute Vid - Speak To The Wind

Quite enjoy making those vids

Yeah I went through a while of smoking significantly to much weed that it felt like music lost its magic unless I was high. Tbh I think I was just too depressed to enjoy it when not on something...in a way tho music is better when high :)

Oh yeah - weed and music go together like nothing else. Weed just tends to make you appreciate things which you'd already appreciate in a different, 'deeper' way though. Not like stims and psychedelics, which can get you dancing to the rhythm of diesel engines and so on! Or maybe that's just me. =D

I even took you off ignore just to check it out. ;)

Dunno about black holes exploding, although if one did I imagine it would be in the form of radiation and not matter.

Matter does not get destroyed in a black hole, it is just compressed by the gravitational force. If the earth were to be sucked into a black hole, it would measure 0.7" in diameter & still weigh the same.

I have a limited understanding of these things though, so correct me if I am wrong.

I got thinking about all the stuff whilst reading a Nat Geo article on Black Holes - got given a gift subscription to it for my birthday. Always lots of interesting things to read each month. I usually read it cover-to-cover.

I've always had a love of music - if someone tells me they don't listen to music, or don't like music... I'm like w-t-f mate? To be honest, I've had plenty of experiences of hearing music which have blown me away without using drugs... more so whilst I was growing up & being introduced to artists/genres but it still happens.

I only tend to get an increase in enjoyment of electronic music whist on drugs. I mean, don't get me wrong... other music still sounds great but electronic music at the right moment in a trip can be orgasmic.

Actually, I also tend to love hearing myself playing guitar whilst on drugs. I find the drugs remove my inhibitions & free me up to play more naturally... I just sit playing thinking "Fuck, I'm actually playing this song... it sounds fucking amazing... this is me doing it, I can make music"

Seen that Dan?

think i might of even seen it on here, class =D

ahaha yes mate, genius. Love it

Lol thanks =D

Was nice to listen to some of those legends side by side there Dan. I've quite a few speeches saved to my youtube faves and recognised a few from your comp. Bill Hicks' it's just a ride is one of the more obvious accessible ones for people I think. It's also one of the best for me because it comes from Bill Hicks- so used to his anger/ranting style that when I first heard it it seemed more profound

Ps I love Bill's ranting/comedy

Same, love that ranting style, bill hicks, doug stanhope, george carlin

I know what you mean, speed and Ecstasy and Mephedrone could make electronic music absolutely banging, take it to a whole new level where everything really takes off, the rocket has launched, and you are literally high. The same thing applies to guitar based music aswell though, though the electronic stuff does somehow seem to have a very high affinity for things like proper pre ban mephedrone. For example i like Delerium's Silence without drugs, but on mephedrone it was almost orgasmically brilliant the night i discovered that track and listened to about 10 different remixes of it. Its never been quite the same without meph.

That song is an absolute classic - a true anthem. ATB - 9pm till I come is I another I remember...

I grew up listening to lots of songs like that but switched over to rock around 14-15. I never actually realised that they were all trance... just got back into trance/house before Christmas.

If it helps, my interest in that field stems from mental illness and hopeless romanticism rather than any serious academic interest. ;)

Like I even do 'serious' or academic' anyhow...

You could have fooled me, Sammy G. You're very good at arguing/debating things objectively. I find you to be quite intelligent, to be honest.

To the rest of you, I'm starting to think I've been sent to Coventry. Would it be so harmful to respond when I greet you all????

is it jsut me or is everyone into rock at about that age? and then when a bit older one goes into one of the two directions more rock / raggae or electronic?

Dont take it personally, nearly all "hello everyone, how are you" type posts generally tend to get ignored, who ever posts them.

Why? That wouldn't happen on the street. If I come n I have nothing to contribution to the current conversation then I tend to say hiya n stuff. But I get what y'r trying to say so it's all good
