Gibberings CLXI: The Numerals are Probably Wrong, The Words Within Most Certainly Are

yeah thats bollocks there is something spiritual about landscapes and nature and the sun and stuff like that.

There's something physical about all of those things, you mean. Any 'spirituality' derives from your own relation and reaction to them.

I guess i am a Pagan, what makes more sense than worshipping the sun, the bringer of all life and warmth, drinking, being merry and shagging ?

Monotheistic solar / phallic cults are actually the precursors of the dogmatic and restrictive religions of today. Speaking in historical religious sense, the sun is traditionally regarded as a big fuck-off wang. Check it out.

What about worshipping the earth, which contains 'nature' in its worldly aspects, and without which the sun wouldn't be anything but a bare lightbulb in an endless dark space? :)

^ Possibly explains why I'm such a fan of the Petshop Boys

Nice. =D

I guess. It's quite common to hear about people having such relations and reactions though, so it's definitely not just me. "I like to walk in ancient places. These are things I can understand." Religious history is not my strong point, I should make a bit of an effort to correct some of that.

AFAIK it's obviously the so far only known combination in the universe of a habitable planet that sustains life, and a sun that happens to be the perfect distance away for that, for the next few billions of years at least.

Let me introduce you to Multiverse theory:

Did you know there is a Supermassive Black Hole at the centre of most Spiral Galaxies, including ours & the most other galaxies too. Here's a question, so where did the Universe come from? Well, a huge explosion but from what... well a Supermassive Black Hole. it stands to reason that eventually a Supermassive Black Hole will compact so much energy that it's gravitational pull can no longer hold it together. I've not looked into it enough to understand why this would result in a catastrophic explosion. Anyway, that means our universe must be one of many but it still begs the question of how things came into existence.

I've not researched it properly but that's my take on it...

Proper mind fuck =D

But considering that, why is it only possible that our plant sustains life, in our galaxy sure, but the universe is expansive & considering the size of it, it would seem likely there are other habitable planets. Whether or not there are life on these & whether it amounts to anything other than an amoeba is another question altogether but still...

Oh and Afternoon folks :)

This is what divides my family every fucking year. My sister hunts with one of her horses and insists it's not illegal, my Mum supports her and me and Dad just generally express our disgust whenever it's brought up. No need for it and if there is then shooting the cunts through the head is more humane than chasing them down til they've got nowhere to go. Fuck her for that. Tho given where you're from you probably know this well as I do :\

nowt wrong with the pet shop boys *vids*

Fucking thanks =D

Nothing but good news all around me today, the sun is out and I got so much stuff done today it's scary. On top of that I haven't touched any drugs in over a month. Just two more days of keeping up this pace and then some serious celebrating this weekend :)

That was a wonderful montage Dan.

"We think too much & feel too little"... I'm sure I've heard that before but it is so true.

I'm good today Eve... got a bit of a comedown, it seemed to get delayed by 18 hours by all the fun that happened yesterday but I'm in a pretty good place right now. Yourself?

What you're saying is somewhat similar to what happens when a large star dies.

As stars age they use up their fuel. At the end of the dying process the star's core collapses and turns into an extremely dense neutron star (for a slight idea of what a neutron star is like; if a star was a cloud, a neutron star would be like a lead marble in comparison. That is nowhere near to scale but it's a discription relatable to the real world). Mean while the outer layers of the star continue collapsing and hit the surface of the neutron star and bounce off, creating a shockwave which blows off the outer layers off the star in a supernova explosion.

Dunno about black holes exploding, although if one did I imagine it would be in the form of radiation and not matter.

Got fuck all done today, but delighted to discover that music is still sounding fucking great without ANY drugs except for the fading remnants of the metabolites of last nights etizolam. I really thought i had ruined music for myself, as drugs seemed to enhance it. Well no they didnt seem to, they did, but its still enjoyable without ze drooga.
