Mate I'm not a softie on race issues, for christ's sake I live in rural northern boot shape country, a place where over 40% of the electors voted the Northern League, google a couple of characters who go by the name of Mario Borghezio and Giancarlo Gentilini, see what they've been up to. One used to go around with fellow party militants on buses, making black people get up and the sanitizing the seats with spray cleaners, also they used to go under bridges and try to set on fire homeless foreigners.

The second fella declared on live TV that he would like to dress immigrants as rabbits and then give free licence to the local licensed gun owners to have a bit of fun. Also he wanted to prevent blacks from sitting on public benches in the parks, but since anti-discrimination laws prevented him from doing so, he just gave the order to remove all benches from the park(eldery citizens protested and I think he back-tracked after a while). He also made it illegal for any Muslim to be within 15 metres of a church, if you're Muslim in Treviso and you were walking on a sidewalk, you had to cross the road so not to be to close to a church if there was one on your path.

He also went on live tv to say that he wanted an ethnic cleansing of all homosexuals(obviously he used a bad term to describe them)

Mate I found aussies to be by far the most hostile, unwelcoming and casually racist people on the planet. Horrible people, I mean you cann see how much of an arrogant tosser our local aussie fella is. TWATS

The worst form of discrimination in the U.K. right now seems to be based on class/wealth. Which, as a guy from a working class, or Thatcherian "underclass", background I have experienced first hand.

You also use oppresive terms when describing opiate addicts "fucking smackhead scum" etc. Just fuck off with it all. These are people, with thoughts, feelings, emotions and a heart like yourself. So get a grip and find some empathy.

I've never thought of you being intolerant of anybody myself. Always seem rather easy-going, live and let live kinda chap. Don't recall whether or not you've ever used that kinda terminology but if you had I'd've presumed it was used jokingly.

I agree with everything DS said as a general point not directed at anyone that should apply to everyone though. I use all kindsa terms but that's mainly down to laziness. I can be a bit superficially snooty but it really is superficial - I do believe that people are fundamentally equal whatever category they happen to be placed in by society - or indeed by my casual use of terms like 'chav'. I basically think of it as colourful language - and we will all be picturing people we know or have seen when such terms are used cos it's all but impossible to not rely to some degree on stereotyping.

And, fwiw, I've been called a 'gypo' and a 'chav' more times than I care to think of - basically cos I lived on a gypsy/traveller site for a few years and was engaged to a gypsy lass - so I kinda feel that it's not entirely dissimilar from Kenny using the term 'wog'. Everybody gets labelled and uses labels to some extent, the real problem is when you actually believe all the shite that goes with them.
 
Any term is only derogatory if you give it the power to be. Though some people still believe "Goth" to be some kind of insult. 8(

Err in a certain closed thread you did make derogatory remarks regarding opiate users,

You know what I mean as well as the others involved, was uncalled for IMO but it was a heated debate


Also on the word 'chav' some little cunt called me one today as I had a hat on with my hood up n headphones on, I looked back to see the little shite that uttered the remark in a fucking tracksuit! While I was wearing evisu jeans, addict coat eS trainers etc
