Gibberings CLVIII: pussy .gifs, but not the sort you'd think

This is the one I'm saving up to go to. They do surfing too and all sorts of cool stuff. Also if anyone grew up around York area and ever went to East Barnby for a week on a school 'outdoor adventure trip', their outdoor slope was hilarious. Must have been about 15m long with a fucking fence at the bottom.

Nah, it's Another World and a proper outdoors one, hence needing cold temperatures and a bit of snow. It looks kind of laid-back and friendly.. And nah, I went to the Sheffield dry-ski slope once and it was awful, good riddance if it's gone.. Xscape looks like Chillfactore near us and that's great as it has proper snow but it does get busy at weekends, so if you're learning try to go in the week if you can! I keep meaning to visit to try out the surfing thing there too, looks fun and a bit warmer than the sea at the moment.

PS - does anyone else here ski/board? An EADD skiing/snowboarding trip would be somewhat fun. =D

That particular nugget I've gotten from several places, most recently from QI but have read it plenty other places over the years. I've always been quite good at retaining lil factoids. Mostly just useless lil nuggets which may not serve much purpose but are, as they say, quite interesting. Not sure what he's patron saint of - reading would make sense - have a lil looksee for yourself cos I know you like reading up on this kinda stuff: Saint Ambrose.

I tried to look up the patron saint of reading but there's a lot and I got bored. Long list of patron saints of various stuffs here.

Pagey's yer gal for publishing stuffs. She has some experience working for a publisher as well as of writing herself. She's probably a bit busy with the move to Sydney at the moment but I'd drop her a PM sometime and ask her if she has any tips. Good luck with the story :)

Seriously never heard of that, nice one. Yeah Xscape and that have proper snow but it looks like it'd be worth holding out for the one you linked if the weather decides to be less of a dick. Indoor actual snow slopes worth it for learning tho? I've no experience snowboarding but used to skateboard a lot. Also an EADD snowboard/ski trip would be fucking hilarious let's do it :D Do you go a lot then? I just play SSX and wish I could
 
Nah, can't really afford to go a lot, sadly! I've done a few holidays in France and the occasional day when travelling, but nothing in the past year. I'm still pretty much a beginner, anyway.

Learning on indoor actual snow is well worth it, yep, and it'll probably be nicer for learning on than the outdoor snow which will likely be a bit iffy unless we get a good snowfall.. If you keep an eye out for offers you might get a good deal for a beginners course at Xscape anyway. I did a beginners course at our local one and it was great. :)
 
Ah bad times, going abroad to snow-stuff is always good tho. Missed out on that in school n all that cos scared of planes/ferries/everything. Learning on indoor it is, then! Just been inspecting that site you linked a bit closer though, I love how fucking Yorkshire it is =D
 
annoyed that I had all thet etiz this morning as I now fancy that bomb of MD I have left.

can beat a nice lazy sunday afternoon high on MD haha, it sounds weird but it's actually quite nice, you come down nicely before night and can have a decent nights sleep.

Hmmmm... it was just WCOTE came in slagging everyone off for no reason. Shame such an immature post has stopped the rest of us from contributing. Now the thread's closed he's PMing me abuse instead, calling me a "cunt" etc lol, childish.

Brimz's posts have been arrogant recently which have ruffled a few people, yes, but I really think there's more going on with him than people realise and hopefully the thread would have eventually given light to that and maybe helped him. Shame the thread got ruined by such immature, agonistic posts.

I couldn't really work out what brimz was actually trying to say in the orginal post, that we're all boring for doing drugs at home instead of out raving?

personally I think both have their place, hence why i do both. I generally try to save stims for nights out, but doing drugs at home, even alone can be a lot fun too.
