The mobile site would be all right if it was green text on a black background, the yellow gradient on quotes is pretty disgusting.

And the subscriptions page does not load in mobile, which is a bit of a downer.

This is a bit disgusting but I've got little maggots or some sort of insect larvae emerging from the carpet in my bathroom.

I hoovered them all up a few days back but I saw some more last night. Hoovered them up too but I'm wondering how I can actually kill the bastards?

I think it's because I cut myself shaving and bled on the carpet. Not a massive amount but probably enough to give these cunts something to eat.

I know a carpet is a fucking stupid thing to have in a bathroom, but it wasn't me that put it there, it was the previous owners. I am loathe to rip it up as I have other things to do that are not laying linoleum or whatever it is you're meant to have in the bathroom. I plan to do that, but I wasn't planning on doing it right this minute.

I'm betting they are moth larvae. We've had them a couple of years and have given in - ie we're about to re-carpet the whole fucking house. If that's what they are you will be plagued by tiny moths come May/June through until late August.
 
Ah thanks SHM. Moth larvae sounds a bit preferable to maggots :) I'll think of them as caterpillars.

They are dark coloured, about a centimeter long. Yes it makes sense they would be moths as they eat fabric. I'll see if I can get shot of the carpet before Spring. It's only this one carpet that I can see them on, and there is no "bridge" carpet to other rooms, only the hardiest, most persistent moth larvae will make it across the wooden floor in the hall.
 
right, I'm starting to think they might be beetles, because I've seen a few adult beetles knocking about the house :(

I'm not sure about the bleach :D but yes the idea of spraying Raid or something had crossed my mind. Only thing is the cat likes to lie next to the radiator in the bathroom, and it probably wouldn't be very good for her to be getting insect poison on her fur.

I've not seen any today, I'll keep hoovering for the time being.
 
I'm about to do two things: delete the two remaining heroin-related numbers off my phone, and put Kiss Alive on my mp3 player.

I have a feeling I'll come to regret both of these things before long.

I keep getting tempted to make a call and it's only a matter of time before I cave in. Probably after a few drinks. So it's for the best.

immediately after flushing the remainder of my bupe i regretted it. But i knew it was for the best. It's good that you are now in a position to be contemplating this move. You're completely right that will power and self control and all that is impeded by alcohol.

In other exciting news ive found some more wood. It may be enough for a 30 min blast of heat to take the chill off, all upstairs radiators are going off again, though im not sure if the wood will dry out enough in time for tonight.
