Ha! Took me a while to work out what exactly that was. Once people get over a certain size it all becomes much of a muchness. I suspect if one were squiffy enough they may not even notice the difference - what's one letter between friends? Mmm... squishy <3
 
Wotcha folks.

Anyone have any idea how long the average cut Christmas tree will last? I decided that superstition was bollocks but it occurs to me that I may still have this thing in March at this rate.

I agree with you. My Mam had her bag robbed it it had pics of pucs of her anain who'd passed away. She was completely distraught. And my mam works hard in her own shop working 14 hours a day the first two plus so it was disgusting plus someone tried to break into shop n stop her car that she had lots of presents in for christmas. So yea I agree totally with you.
 
^ So you would go to the person who stole your mother's handbag and steal their family pictures? And go to the person who broke into her car and shop and steal their Xmas presents? I can understand the anger and frustration at the loss of items of such sentimental value but I still don't see how you would be any better than those people if you were to do that. Am I missing something? Surely there are better ways than ancient Middle Eastern tribal laws, no?

I don't. But I do know that if planted outside they take root and grow. My stepdad did it with a tree one year and I was genuinely shocked and surprised that it worked. Of little or no use to your question, admittedly.
 
Cemeteries are a complete waste of beautiful real estate any way. People should plant a tree and build a park Bench under it to remember their loved ones. That way at least future generations can enjoy the space and not just satanists.

Ashes to ashes, not ugly tombstones.

Did you happen to watch that recent Karl Pilkington series by any chance, OTW? I only ask cos I did yesterday and that is the main theme of the last episode. Not a bad idea at all.
 
The Life of Moaning? I only caught the first episode last night actually.

There is a really old cemetery 5 minutes bike ride from me that we often go and visit. The day Michael Jackson died for instance we dropped acid and went up to the top that over looks the city and played Thriller through a ghetto blaster.

My favourite grave is this lady. After all every one knows that you should rest a roast lamb before you carve it.

Personally I have strict instructions in my will that I am to be stuffed and mounted before being taken on a Weekend at Bernies type adventure.

Yup. If you happen to watch the rest (or just the one on death) you'll see why I asked. Although the idea gets expanded into even more practical areas.

And would you believe I've never seen Weekend at Bernie's? Me neither. I haven't though. Dunno quite how I managed to miss it given my vintage.

Also, pic and Thriller/acid bits evoked titters. Graveyards are often really nice places to wander through. Never done it on acid. Not cos I expect to be scared by it so much as just never been near a graveyard whilst tripping. I'd have to skip the Michael Jackson stuff though. That's a fella who could send even me off on a bad one 8(

I wish i had thought of this point earlier as i think it would have made my argument a bit better, IMO these 'petty criminals' completely lack empathy for their victims, so somehow they need to be taught how it feels to be a victim of their actions. Maybe this would stop them repeating these nasty crimes.
 
Or perhaps growing up they were victims of petty crime and they now feel that they have to inflict retribution themselves to balance things out.
