Obviously it doesn't allow for any illness or injury that effects one's wee-wees, and it's hardly gonna be accurate down to the millisecond or owt, but the original research (yes it is actual research not just some random internet "FACT!") was done on elephants and compared with a variety of other mammals. Just had a quick scan to see if I can dig up the reference for ya (cos I'm a bit anal about urine FACT!s it seems) but don't have it to immediate hand (magazine article not off internet - presumably also on internets somewhere). They gave all the volumes, flow rates and stuff in the article. From memory an elephant pisses ~160 litres, can't recall the flow rate but it works out that it takes approximately the same amount of time to empty the bladder no matter the size of the mammal (as long as it's over a kilo in weight). Does seem odd but it's all a matter of just scaling the plumbing up or down I suppose.

Dunno why I'm defending some random scientist's obscure research project so vociferously - probably cos it just happened to tickle me greatly and is also genuinely quite interesting, as they say. The fella who discovered it has now been made immortal via the medium of having The Mammalian Piss Equation named after him. It's a claim to fame and no mistake.

There wasn't much further for performance art to go really, was there? September the 11th notwithstanding.

Think it was actually an enema - it also included alcohol (wine I think) and vomit. He then sprayed it back out (presumably in aesthetically pleasing manner) and I do believe then licked it up. Apparently two people were still in the audience at the end. I guess once you've paid to get in it'd be a shame to miss the show.

Article/interview was promoting the book about his (I'm skipping the pansexual pronouns for simplicity) and Mrs P-Orridge's Pandrogyne project which there was also a documentary film about which I've not seen so will have to track down. He's (okay, s/he's) a fascinating character whatever one may think about his more extreme... hobbies. Truly a one-off. Well, sort of. Since merging with Ms Breyer does that make him a two-off? A duad?

Not the same article but about that project of theirs.

some people troll facebook memorial sites and go round vandalising graveyards, i think the only way to get through to such people is an Old Testament eye for an eye thing, line up and shoot their own nearest and dearest, and then wreck their graves and see how they like that. Im not being entirely serious, but i think that people that repeatedly burgle, rob, and vandalise, should have the same thing done to their own property and see how they like that. I really do sound like Jeremey Clarkson or a daily mail reader now, this is extremely embarrasing. I have been the victim of such crimes, this is probably why my views arent at all liberal on these matters.
 
Anybody know who the Sky News presenter is on the right (I think it's her although she looked different doing her slot)? Some female presenter I didn't recognise did the sport about an hour ago and she was outrageously gorgeous, but I've looked at the Sky News website biographies and she isn't on there... This is 50% pervy 50% procrastination so don't worry about me kidnapping her or anything.

Me too. Somewhat predictably my views are as liberal as ever on the matter all the same. Two wrongs never make a right. An eye for an eye makes a lotta extra work for guide dog trainers. Etc.
