Gibberings CLIV: Fecking Finally

I remember you posting about one particular incident of M-Hole-based screaming, Albi. You're not the only one either. Is a rather oddly specific side-effect (given it happens to a number of users I suppose it must be considered a potential side-effect rather than simply an oddity). Wonder what causes the screaming? Wonder what it is that causes such existential terror? Or is it nothing to do with that and something more akin to a physical symptom? Is a very strange thing whatever the case. I have no idea if I scream out whilst M-Holed. I could ask the neighbours but I doubt they'd be overly thrilled discussing the matter :D

How do you paint like that? Is it made on a computer or is it ink?

It's suspiciously similar to what is medically known as a non-epileptic/dissociative seizure.

During the seizure the person may cry, scream or have flashbacks (sudden, vivid memories of the event). They may not remember the seizures afterwards.

My mate screamed on 500mg MXE because he was scared of the monsters, primeval soup and all that, and couldn't get away. Just saying. No need to call the police or ambulance. Not for that.
 
Albi: I suppose it shouldn't be much surprise that there are some similarities between a deliberately-created state of extreme dissociation and an involuntary dissociated seizure. I have no idea if the similarities are anything more than superficial but interesting reading all the same :)

My oldest asked if the man knew I was doing this to his chair, he was all dead serious asking are you sure "A" is ok with you doing this mum haha.

I've enjoyed making this while I've been gnawing away at the purpose for my recent eh mental instability. Making stuff always helps the process :)

Number 1 rule. Don't play for free. Imagine the dude said "I saw your plumbing videos on Youtube, do you want to come round and fit a sink for me? I can't offer you any money this time, but maybe next time".

This. If the promoter/organiser is getting paid, you should be as well. And I'd bet money that next years slot doesn't materialise.

I dunno. If it was a band - or even a person playing their own stuff (or even just covers for that matter) - I'd tend to agree, but a fella playing a few riffs? It's not like Dan's got a CD for sale or owt. He's not losing out on anything. Sounds like a giggle to me. Plus he'd get into the festival free. Don't really see the problem other than thinking of what to actually do on stage to avoid getting piss-bottled off :D

I keed, I keed. Dan's good on guitar but not sure how that would translate to a slot on stage at a festival. Not meaning to be a dick but I don't really see how the vids posted on PooToob could translate into an actual show that people pay money to see?
 
really in the mood for some junk food but mcdonalds is a mile away and I'm drunk and tired.
 
Depends what he's doing I suppose. I basically see it as devaluing your art, and that of other professional musicians. If the guy is impressed by the videos enough to offer him a slot, he should be impressed enough to part with a few quid.
