Gibberings CIV: You're My Wife Now

I wish I was in Brazil. If I was in Brazil I could walk to the nearest street corner RIGHT NOW at 3am and there would be a guy with a cart on wheels selling beers and cocktails for super cheap. I could sit on the street and drink and chat with other people who wanted to drink beers or cocktails at 3am in the morning and there would be no problem with it.

Why do we live in such an uptight country with shitty rules and laws?

P.S.
It's so fucking boiling in here it feels like Brazil, sweating my tits off!

Oh and the recent moan has been about me paying board money, which I don't have an issue with but I don't have any money at the moment so I can't pay it.

lol this is why you have no clue about the real world.

Its hard for anyone to have any respect for you & your travelling when you're freeloading, talking about how you love the brazilian way of life, so footloose & fancy free, when it's essentially your mum & dad who pay for your trips. Damn right its carefree when you're a freeloader, not so much when you're the one who'se got to find the money for day to day living.

I believe in free enterprise & initiative but not sponging. Never mind anything else, the majority of your JSA should be going to them. No wonder you get it in the neck when they get shit all but watch you swanning around, eating all their food and wanking all day in your bedroom.

What goes around comes around.
Just wait til he has kids

I've tried reasoning, it gets nowhere. Apparently having a job is all that matters. I get told I should stop quitting jobs to go travelling and then coming back 5-6 months later to try and find another job which I agree with as it's not sustainable. So I want to set up my own online biz....which I get told is a stupid waste of time and I should get a job...yet I know if I do I'll quit after 6-7 months to fuck off again as I can't hack it here....see the contradiction?

I have quit twice to go travelling before, best decisions ever. Yeah when I came back I had no money for a while but always found another job eventually. I hate the way people say that getting a job is the most important thing, they just think that becasue its maybe all they ever didn themselves
What type of online business are you thinking about ?

Knew it wouldn't be long before you piped up with your unwanted opinions on the subject.

My mum and dad don't pay for my trips in anyway at all, I don't even live with my dad. Out of the past 7 years I have spent around 5 of those years NOT living at home, personally I don't think it should be a big deal for me to stay here for a short while whilst I find work and get some money together. I might not have any cash right now for board but I do 90% of the cooking, wash the dishes, tidy the house up and so on (something you would NEVER see my sister doing) and I have no issue with paying board as soon as as I have some cash. Right now £280 a month from JSA doesn't go far when I have to pay about £150 a month to the bank for those stupid loans and overdrafts I naively took out as a student.

Yeah I will either find a job or start making some money online again, hasn't been a major problem in the past but both can take time.

lol ok

I've just 'mended' a bathroom tap which involved locating the mains in the street, shutting that off, taking the tap apart, cleaning with wd40 then reassembling it and switching water back on. So far, no geysers of water and all is functioning as expected. I am man, hear me bore. Next up, mending a chair.

On the other hand, something feels very wrong with my relationship at the moment.

wow! crazy world.

I'm quite good at practical stuff and mending things. I like to think that in a post apocalyptic society I wouldn't be eaten because I'd be more useful alive, fixing stuff.

I've given too much thought to my potential role in a post apocalyptic society. I blame practically every children's book of the 70s and 80s. The ever-present fear of nuclear annihilation and ekeing out an existence in an irradiated wasteland played an important part in my development. Kind of disappointed that it didn't happen.

Haha, I was having that discussion last night funnily enough

I'd be useless.

Wondering the plains dreaming about all the technology that used to be.....

Unable to even construct a matchstick. Let alone anything mechanical or electrical.

Would be even more funny to bump into a load more people who were equally as useless.
We would all sit around with f*ck all reminiscing about things like cigarette lighters, electricity and such.

Maybe others would protect you so that you could pass on stirring memories of the old days to their four-eyed psychic stump-limbed progeny.

'Tell us about vacuum cleaners again, oh do, Uncle Cornish! Or we'll make your head explode.'

I'm not too good at fixing things either and have next to no survival skills, I'd be fucked.

Ha ha that's you clamped!

What does that mean?

Of course your mummy & daddy are paying for your travels. If they didn't put a roof over your head and food in your belly over the last 7 years you wouldn't be able to go off on your jaunts, would you? It makes me laugh how the the only reason you can say 'fuck work' is only thanks to other people having hum drum jobs & working. When you can stand on your own two feet and do it, then you can say 'fuck work'.

But you have a strange sense of entitlement because you're in your mid 20's and you do the washing up. Bless.

You can't read, you are a moron.

I haven't lived at home for 5 of the last 7 years which is when all my travelling has been done.

Stop being so abusive.

The heavily subsidised 2/7 years you have lived at home are what enabled you to go travelling. If you had to take care of accommodation & food in between trips you'd be fucked.

If you had to hold down a mortgage or a tenancy you'd also have to hold a job down, quitting the job and losing your home takes on a whole new meaning. Your parents generosity has spared you all that and enabled you to go where you want and do what you want.

And then you whinge cos your mother goes away for the weekend and only leaves you a packet of custard creams. Pathetic.

I'm sorry your parents didn't love you enough to feed you and give you a roof over your head B&W. No need to take it out on me though.
