Don't listen to any naysayers telling you to set your cat on it.
Get a see-through tupperware box and try to place it on top of the Vole. Slide a magazine or piece of cardboard underneath underneath it and take it outside that way. If there's any chance you might drop it, try to find a bucket deep enough so it wont be able to jump out, and pop it from the tupperware box into the bucket and take it out that way. Put it near a field, preferably with a ditch or pond nearby
Vole fucking pwn. water voles are beautiful. I watch them in various rivers near here, and they swim like theyre on a mission, and with tons more grace than rats.
pls don't kill it or set a cat on it.
[edit] if it's still in there, leave it with some dried nuts ... or currants or something .. it'll probably eat some of that
