Gibberings CCXIV -- it's been 2017 for over a week now and nobody has noticed .....

Mushrooms are very illegal - I hired a driver for a day and as the day progressed and he got more comfortable with me I asked him about it. A couple of years ago it was (on paper) illegal but tolerated - it now carries very harsh penalties for the sellers and anyone found consuming them or on them (not sure how that is enforced). They can be purchased openly on some of the smaller islands.

Main Island - I found one shop that sold them :)

Pharmacies - Some codeine products , pseudoephedrine, dxm were off the shelf but anything stronger were not available without a script. No benzos, no opiates! They only have a few chemist chains (in the touristy areas) both chains in several branches refused me without a script (I tried a few back ally types of places with no luck).

Every street corner (and a few local stores) - girls, young girls, hashish, mj, coke, viagara, cialis, valium. All the pills were in small asprin tubs all looked from the same press so I didn't bother. If you got chatting with some of the guys off the main strip you could get meth (ice) and I was pretty surprised at the amount of heroin on offer .
 
Mate - you know when you think of Bali your have these images that appear? Forget them (unless your willing to travel) - pristine beaches, palm trees, golden sand etc. Urrghhhh - I have never seen beaches as filthy. I'm not talking about the odd flip flop, coconut shell, condom etc - I mean full on filth.

I got a cab to a place that was supposed to be a haven for beach activities (was an hours drive from my hotel so not really 'local') - I got out of the taxi, walked 10 minutes along the coast line - got a taxi back to my hotel. I cannot put into words the filth and degaradtion (is that a word) - We went to that location as it is advertised as a seafood paradise.

I did find some pristine beaches - they looked postcard worthy but just knowing what was around the corner :X
 
Joking about the Peas =D - my hubby is a fucking brute <3 . He actually is though - shorter than me but brick house (He is the the bear in my bearlove <3)
 
Those dudes offering drugs on the street often set people up and get a kick back from the cops and the drugs back. A mate of mine learnt the hard way and got caught with three pills. $10000 USD and a beating from the police later he was let go.

Bali was not my first Far Eastern trip - hence my reluctance to buying on the street. Have you been ? You have a few levels of 'dealers' = the ones outside of your hotel, the beach guys, the corner guys, the backstreet guys, the late at night 'massage' guys/girls. As the day progresses then the level of drugs /choices change. Staggering home at 5am then its girls - young girls - mid day its coke etc
 
Where is Stee n Julie ? Just read a few pages and I've not seen them posting - are they both ok?
 
Hi Bear - have had a real shit few weeks since Christmas - even by usual standards but all has come good finally. I cannot get into town to get any weed so in light of the abject misery and largely - abstinant periods of drugs I'm having a perfect Sunday in my head as there is one greedy cunt in my circle of acquaintances who was prepared to drive out to me with a selection of wagon de - stabilisers which I am going to fall off for the afternoon - I have justified to myself after scoring highly on the self assessed pathetic list of excuses to justify a lapse . I've just smoked a rock of crack which was pretty pleasant, not withstanding the usual reasons not to use this ludicrously poor value drug but I have a spring in my step and (for the first time since mid - december), a spare 5er and the compulsion to use a stim as I have not had any whizz or 3FPM since the summer.

Julie has been posting but she's had some really bad news and has the worst shit to deal with at present - it doesn't take much to see ones own 'struggles' shown up for what they genuinely are with this kind of perspective - if you have a gander through her recent posts she made in the social threads you should get the idea of what they are up against :)( <3 ).

But aside from my forcing my brain into a positive frame with my one off (an I mean that - I cannot afford to go back there full tme else I would have done weeks ago) - there is genuine objective good news at the centre of what is, undeniably, the direction of healthy return to business in EADD - Sprout is back and judging from his posts - in business as well.

So swings and roundabouts. In total honesty Bear I was wondering the same thing about you the last few days - you always make the effort to offer salutations and greetings most mornings when u can - are things all good ur end - you been on holliers, just busy or am I just being a nosey fuck now ;) <3

DIT: sorry i just ran in and answered without reading the other posts first. You been Indonesia? First time? Nice?

Really not sure which way things are going to go right now. I just know I've got to take care of myself, because I'm probably going to be needed soon .....
 
There will be no glumming of anything mate - aside from wishing the entire episode away I'd like to think that our best posters would feel personally satisfied if they felt they could offer any semblance of a supporting 'ear' (eyes) or words.

Share as much or as little as you feel the need - either way I do not think I'm being particularly arrogant to speak on EADD's behalf in so far as that we all care for you very much, are thinking of you both and would be more happy to discuss if and when you may feel it would be of benefit x <3

As for polluted beaches. Travelling back from the Gilis I have never been so appalled by the detritus that appears in the ocean about 3-4 miles off Bali. Beautiful blue sea suddenly becomes - a rubbish tip. Bali is supposed to be such a beautiful place but I never got it (apart from the 6 star hotel I was in). Nothing special at all, polluted beaches and everything for sale. There's way better places in SE Asia (including the Gilis, sorry you never made it there). Nice to see you back home safe.

Very fucking dark then. A few months ago when I tried to access bluelight from home some kind of Sky net nanny shield came up saying the website was blocked - but then I opened the link again and it was gone, so assuming it was a bug.

Either way it's not going to take long until they start targetting other websites (i.e this) and we end up getting profiled. Fucked up.
 
Fucking marauding bands of cows here. Some dude drives them through the village relentlessly from dusk till dawn. They go in behind each house, eat grass, eat trash, eat plastic, scatter rubbish, sound like fucking ghosts.

Good strategy though; they are all quite well fed looking and a bit rangy. I might abduct a large calf one day. Nothing taster than a well fed calf.

They will pretty much walk in the back door with the "herd" scattered across ten properties at once.

Our next door neighbours were letting their chickens range around the place. Like 60 of them.

Cook caught two by the door, lured them in, wrang the necks and made curry.

Told the neighbours they were hers as they were in her kitchen. Haven't had any more chicken plagues since.

Perhaps, just perhaps, the same principle applies to baby cows? Or perhaps I'd get shot, or more likely arrested and made to pay $200 for the juvie cow. It'd be worth the $200.
