Gibberings CCXIII - 5 Days of Ball Sweat or Fresh Vagina Juice?

Been feeling a bit like Mickey no Mates recently. Since I've moved to Belfast I've met up with old friends once for a birthday party and I get the feeling she didn't mean to invite me, Facebook did. Been trying to figure out a way to make friends but I'm pure struggling. Maybe my personality is pretty much unappealing I don't know.

How does one do friends? Honestly guys I really want help here. Suggestions! Anything! Before I lose the plot. At least at home I had my family to talk to, kinda felt like I had friends or people interested lol
 
You need a hobby if you haven't got one already to find the right type of people.
Some say clubbing is a hobby and can get you to meet like minded people.

You could try socialising in a pub but being a female that will more than likely result in just blokes wanting to hit on you.
I'm feeling anecdotal, I did that once and met a couple of great people in a local pub. Had loads of laughs with them, everybody bought their round of drinks etc...
Then I find out they're big buddies when it suits them with the local corrupt political party. They've never ever seen me again lol.

The 'friends' thing is overrated. It's rare you can trust people and actually call them friends. Money/ego/prestige etc...get in the way.
Most people in my life are acquaintances. I had a good friend for over 16 years till he fucked me over, stole a load of stuff from me and slagged me off for no reason. That was the end of the friend thing for me.
Don't get me wrong I socialize every few weeks with a group of friends in a hobby group of mine where there's always a load of laughs and fun to be had. They're like me and if they read what I've just written they'd agree with what I've said. Think about it ;).

You've cracked it! I need a dog. I should have realised all along because I fucking love dogs. I suppose I've kinda made friends since I moved here because there's an old dog at the end of my road I always have a chat with when I see him!

All jokes aside, thank you. I really appreciate your response! I think a hobby would be a grand idea but I just have to figure out what hobby I wanna try my hand with now! I did go to a ukulele night a couple of times but the bar scene did sort of gather not so great attention! I should join an old ladies club, tea and knitting!
 
Totally agree on the hobby thing. Evening courses are also great for meeting people. Both also come with the added bonus of having inbuilt icebreakers and fallback discussion topics. Dogs may or may not have their friendship value but ultimately they are shite conversationalists... Not bad for being conversation starters when out and about though (possibly breed dependent).

I can neither confirm or deny that as what happens in Bangkok stays in Bangkok. I will say however I did not sleep last night and that the nightlife here is still raging if you know where to look. Got some really nice coke for 3000 baht a gram. Snapped up 3 grams for the duration of my stay in BKK. Could have got ice for the same price but that would just end in days and nights of depravity. Anyway its time for lunch and beers. Good times indeed.
