And no, i'm still up to my fucking neck in boxes; i planned to have moved two days ago, but decided for the sake of practicality and my sanity (what's left of it) to postpone it for a week or so.
So...yeah, it hopefully means i leave less of a mess in my wake - both in terms of material shit i leave behind; and emotionally, regarding my relationship.

Sucks to be paying double rent for a couple of weeks - but it's a serious upheaval and positive change in life - so i feel it is worth the investment (in time and money) to do it right <3

Thanks for the feedback on Social. A few of us (one top bloke in particular) put a lot of thought and work into it, so i hope that overall, it is a good thing for the site.

I would love to see you and other predominantly EADD-inclined folks post there.
One of the real goals was to make a part of the forum that everyone could go in and talk shit, joke about, socialise and generally have a laugh.
The more people that do so - who never previously would have - the more successful the whole undertaking will prove to be.
So far i'm really pleased with the response - and i've been known to post everywhere and anywhere in BL that i feel any interest in.

Be good to see any of you good people in there. Also, i think Scottish humour is some the best in the English-speaking world; it would be really good to see someone take some of the wee laddies to task for the cheap kilt jokes aimed at our man Ali ;)

@ spacejunk; moving home is one of those top life stress inducers. It must be unsettling especially if a relationship is involved in the mix. As long as the fur coat makes it with you, it'll be worth it! It sounds like you have a realistic plan in place to handle it. Even if that means paying double rent for a wee bit. Keep your sanity with that xxx

I didn't even noticed you'd edited my post! Kudos to you being able to mod / edit on your mobile. I found it a pain enough on a lappy...was never that hot at merging n' what not back when I served my time ;) Cannot even contemplate modding on an ipad :|

The social forum seems a bit more accessible now. As it should be. I'm sure that it will even draw eadder's who tend to be particularly parochial. I'll pop in and bring some Scottish love now and again. The lounge rats have always been ok with me if I've ever found myself over there, but yeh it didn't half stink like a decomposing rodent at the end there...

Yay for banter. Yay for coffee. Yay for bacon and egg rolls. Nay for work.....well i wish nay but it has to be yay. Yay for income then.

I too much prefer the new social. I know a lot of the old lounge rats dont like it but pretty much just the bullys and people who insist on using words like f#@got etc who object. Onwards and upwards.
 
Koneko, my recipe is deffo yours-I have to go dig it out!

I board my nag about 10 miles away-I'm in a suburban area not far from the more rural palces and there are a ton of horse barns and facilities locally. whch is a good thing because his boarding fees are horrendous but they'd be a lot worse in an area where they are less popular. His shoes cost more than mine, he sees te vet, the dentist and even a chiro practor. I take better care of that nag than I do myself. Yup, I own him-he's a chestnut, like a new penny, with one white sock. His "barn" name is Cash, which is a huge joke-his dam was Dash For the Cash and everybody wondered is she was "on the stroll".

I only got horsie about 10 years ago when I got into dressage on a vacation. Surprise: I love it and a friend, who owned him, lost her job, etc, ect. C'mon across the pond, bring Dan and you can ride him.
 
Have my eldests 5th birthday today. Bought s load of hot wheels stuff for him, cake, balloons etc. all good.

Got to head back to work tomorrow. Bit fucked off with my job tbh. Wages have been incomplete for past four months and not had this months paid at all yet. There is a change in the pipeline soon.

I think I might have a bit of dengue fever. Don't feel well and haven't for a week or so. Going to kill it with whiskey.

Its great this time of year. Whales heading south after having their baby whales up north.

Today should be good. Interviews / meetings with clients and their parents / guardians / carers to get them the funding they need to be independent as possible. The part of the job i enjoy. Too much paperwork otherwise. Seriously thinking about going back to the hospital even though its less money, hard work and shit hours because its more hands on. Probably stick this out for another 6 months to enjoy summer and make a decision then.

Think I just had the flu, and not dengue, as Jaegermeister and whiskey seem to have dented it.
