Arrrrrggghhhhh! Terrifying, I hate that cunt.

Right, I think it's in the best interests of myself and EADD that I take a little break. I am not in any fit state to post, let alone do the Nazi dance/Moderate anyone else's posts.
PM's will be addressed now if they're short, in-depth ones I request you forward to another member of staff, if needed.

Cheers,
Sprout.

I'm also getting out of here (not that I'm ever really here anyway). This isn't the community I joined nearly 10 years ago any more though, sadly.

The knowledge and info I got from here in the early years probably saved my life several times over and I think I'm a more sensible drug user as a result of it, so cheers for that.

I'm also really grateful for the support everyone gave me when I was sick, it meant more than you all probably realised at the time.

If you want to stay in touch send me a PM and maybe we can sort out some other means of contact.

Take it easy y'all. <3

That's a shame, Josh, you take care ok?! You've come a long way from when you were ill you keep going ok. I wish you all the happiness n success in the world.

It's a shame a couple of folk are leaving, all the best.

Yea it's a shame :( but some people are going through stuff n feel BL isn't helping at mo I guess. In the new year I too am taking a break to sort my life out. It's nothing personal just the nature of the beast.

Can I ask what you feel has changed around here? I find most folk to be very pleasant and I feel it's a good place to come for a bit of banter, whether it's about drugs or just random nonsense. Most folk are like-minded, which I like, I've been a member for along time now, but only really made an effort to get involved properly recently, although for the last 7 years Bluelight has always been my first stop for harm reduction and to research any new drugs that I was trying, I trust this site and the opinions of others. The only other site that I used for research really was Erowid, but even then it's always been Bluelight first and foremost. So, I'm now wondering why a couple of folk have 'had enough', so to speak.

Take care the people who are leaving/taking a break. All the best.

In a nutshell it used to be a lot busier. SHM pointed out this thread has suffered an 82% downturn in traffic in the last 18months. It was a lot busier, there was a lot more funny tales of weekend debauchery, a few more qualified chemists (fast&bulbus, Vader, etc) who contributed a wealth of knowledge whether it was relating to new RC's or old drugs. It was one of these chemist people here that fathered the creation of MXE.

The general crack was more going on, more wind ups, more ripping people, people like TheSpade took it constantly. And rarely did people fall out, it was all taken with a bit more tongue and cheek.

All that said I've actually been thinking this place has been showing signs of improvement, last Friday a few of the old names were back and things were flowing nicely koneko, bcf, coltdan. I think you aswell have added to this place MUSKET. And it's been good to see new members like SquidInSunglasses. Some of the wounds round here with loosing members who've passed away cannot be healed (Evad, mugz, Carsick, Cornishman to name but a few) but times move on and things are getting better when some of these old posters are coming back out of the woodwork and feeling they can post here again it's a sign of improvement.

It probably won't get as busy as it once was again, those times were due to the scene at the time too - pre ban mephedrone, the h drought, etc all made for a huge influx of members. But things can get better.

Sorry to hear josh is going as he seems a genuinely good guy who promotes positive vibes.

It's still a good place for a natter I feel, although some days it does make me want to bang my head off the desk in dispair. Things have been showing signs of getting better at times, other times it's back to the drawing board.

@Sid - thanks for the compliment man! If people leave though then it will only get emptier and potentially put new members off if they think it's slow. I presume the majority of new members have been lurkers at one stage or another, therefore they have eventually joined because they think the existing members are worth chatting to and they feel like they can contribute to the community. It's a shame if folk leave (although their right to do so obviously, for whatever reason) because they think it's just not the same when new members are keen to get involved. Things change, especially in niche online communities such as this one.

I feel bad that I mostly lurk, but the only drugs I take are codeine and weed. Rather than clog up the forum with the same old drivel, I generally keep quiet.

This place was extemely busy early 2014 then we lost Knock n a lot of posters left due to pain of losing him n a lot of other members who had died. We've been trying to get in new members but as Scotchy has pointed out it ebbs n flows around here - sometimes it can be busy others it can be slow n if people have issues, like trying to get off drugs or whatever they may wish to take a break from hete n come back when they've sorted their life out <3

Lol I don't think you'd clog up the forum with driven :)

Nothing wrong with that either curious24, sometimes I go through weeks of just lurking, other times posting alot it just depends how I'm feeling, and how things are on the board at that time. I guess when your stoned on weed and codeine posting can feel like an effort too ;)

It's true man. Yeah I agree, that's why some days even when I find what's going on a bit cringe I still post, in the hope the situation will fix itself. I've heard others going to the measures of looking at other boards (I've done this BL in it's niche field hasn't really got any equal competitors), and even some talking of making another board. I do have the technical ability to do this, but the actual process of starting a successful forum takes years and I think people underestimate just how tough it is to make one as successful as this.

With drugs boards folk will always come and go, as they become or become disinterested in drugs, and find new things in life. I think the problem with alot of the old guard of EADD aswell is many of them only frequented EADD, not the rest of Bluelight. Even during periods of not using drugs I've found the Sober Living, Healthy Living and Relationships boards still useful to me.

Anyway it's nice to know the history of this place. But it still has a future, I'm also half expecting alot of new members to come from the RC scene. It's been at a dead end for a couple of years (not much worthwhile being produced) since the likes of 4-MMC, MXE and 6-APB. When they release the aminorex compounds which is certain to happen at some point I would imagine with alot of people with legal access to potent stims again the boards will get busier. :)

EDIT: mainly EADD, but ofcourse there was the passing of such well loved members Evad, Mugz, knock, Cornishman, Karaboudjan. Alot of the posters from that era might find this place makes them sad when they think about these people missing. Back then meet ups were fairly common. I've met a few cool people through this place from that era and virtually none of them still post here. I think on the whole the rest of the forum is just as busy. Except maybe a bit less manic since the cathinone ban, as there really were alot of people high on the likes of meph, methylone, MDPV etc. It was obvious within a few months of the ban how many of us were stimmed up on them.

You know what? Balls to me having a break.
It's been 8 hours and I'm having EADD withdrawals - you bunch o' cunts are the greatest bunch o' cunts this cunt has ever met.

I love you guys, and get ready for my drivel, my 50 posts a day average now means I have 3 hours to get another 48 in. ;)

^Haha, I did wonder how long that would last ;)

this place is addictive as any drug I've tried personally.
