Everyone saying that having wisdom teeth pulled doesnt require anything more than ibuprofen--an important distinction needs to be made: there is a difference between having your wisdom teeth removed (read: pulled) and having them surgically removed.
If hes being put under general anesthesia (as I was when mine were removed) chances are, they are being surgically removed and he WILL need pain medication.
When mine were removed, my insurance paid for a really good surgeon in an upscale part of the city, and I received 45 5/325 oxycodone/acetaminophen tablets for the procedure. I know that many is not the norm, but my point is that percocet is used for dental work and it definitely is needed in some situations.
