GBL Megathread 4: End of an Era?

GBL binge next day itching like a mofo?

i had a binge of gbl yesterday after it came in the post-my first time, and extremely enjoyable

while i have had marginal negative effects from this (crazy dreams/waking up repeatedly) i am ridiculously itchy this morning, having a hard time trying not to scratch anything as it itches even more-

all experiences welcome as i find this aspect really offputting

the weird thing is when i first had it it felt like a strong poppy tea nod-very opiate like creamy feelings and wild mind wanderings. i'm thinking could it be a mad histamine effect and pod tea is the only time i've had itching like this-there is no rash, my mood is excellent and i feel physically fine and dandy with no hangover, but i cannot stop scratching these tickly rushes of mad itch

^Have done. You need half of the amount, as it wipes you out. Also, pofacedho, G is a potent antihistamine (that's why it's so good for colds), so it's possible that on stopping you get the effects of histamine release. I used to get mad cold symptoms, when I needed a redose.

Also plugged and it hits you like a freight train as Treac said. You need to make sure it's well diluted - no more than 1ml of G to 9ml of water ideally but you can get away with slightly more G. Not too much cos it will literally rip you a new one =D

Funny you should mention the morning after itchiez, Poface. I'd never noticed them till this very morning. Have been binging even more than usual on the guice and woke up itching like crazy today. Think I'll take an anti-histamine and try to lay off the G a bit today cos it really is bloody itchy :!

I've been on G virtually every day for the last two years with a few days/weeks off here or there, Tex. Mostly seem to have gotten away with no major problems but this last blowout before the ban may well be the one where I get the lot, I suspect. See y'all in the withdrawal thread in a coupla weeks :|

Few litres = few hundred quid so no chance. May manage a litre or so but at least I know when the curtain's are drawn so will probably order some phenibut or maybe Baclofen if I can track some down. May well invest in some strong opiates to smooth it over too. Have plenty of benzos which have helped with any symptoms I've had previously but I've never had any intense w/d before. Hopefully won't this time but think I may well have pushed my luck a bit far :\

Shambles: phenibut is on special offer from the UK. £30 for 100g, instead of £50.

Ha, I don't think they've clicked that people will be seeking it out for this reason. Then again, G is widely used as a bodybuilding supplement, so you might be on to something. ;)

I might stash some phenibut as well. Hated it totally when I tested it out, but any other things I can put in my armoury will aid the next year.
Might start going back to local drugs project and see what they can do re talking therapy/complementary therapies. I know that the NHS service is 100% useless from my time there in May - July 2008.
Not one person at any stage was aware of how it worked or how to deal with it. Even supposed top psychiatrists were exchanging emails with US people and all they could come up with:
1.Inpatient stay...no idea how much or for how long or how likely death or anything else.
2.No drugs ever again for individual apart from the wonder drugs of SSRI's and CBT.

No way was I ever doing inpatient stay, where relatives and co-workers etc would know! I can work out my own methods to come off it, inside its a case of the bare minimum of something eg 2mg diazepam now and again for a week or so. I've seen people go in and have their medications dropped right down, and thats when people think they understand what they are dealing with, rather than GHB/GBL which needs a well thought out Baclofen reduction programme. Then some CBT.

I'm going to be in shit soon enough since it appears that just about the only drug I can buy without a credit card is GBL. All others are harder to get than soap bar at the moment.

I was going to say that all that is needed is a baclofen taper, over a week or so. People in GBL withdrawal can be treated as an out-patient. I don't know this from anything the NHS has demonstrated - I know this from personal fact. Why no one in the medical community has realised something so fucking simple just pisses me off. If someone like me can work it out, then why can't they?
