nah its actual withdrawals, not just the rebound, i cant sleep without it either.
http://snopes.com/cokelore/cokelore.aspI'm sure there are a number of things you could use coca-cola to clean, people don't mind guzzling that down. I'd be interested to see if coca-cola or GBL would dissolve a tooth faster. GBL is an industrial solvent, but then again, so is water.
I used to try tapering, and it never ever worked. If I didn't have a dose that had an effect, it just made me feel like death. GABA-B is a pretty unforgivable receptor that doesn't respond well to tapering (unlike GABA-A - benzos, etc), but luckily they recover very quickly. It's really not hard to get yourself out of G addiction just with tapering. So long as you've got at least 2 days of your normal usage amounts then you can do it with minimal discomfort.

The alcohol analogy is a good one. I might have to steal thatI usually compare it to peppermint oil. You can't drink it straight but it sure is lovely dilluted.
Have they no shame, scare tactics of the lowest kind...I always bring up the alcohol one as well.
Again, I know its relative but how much G do you need to take on a regular basis to get this effect or withdrawl?
I think you need to be using it almost round the clock for a good number of days to get full-on withdrawal. I think if you're using it on a regular basis it's more a case of psychological dependence.

You couldn't stay awake?! You are wired backwards. Ha.Withdrawal wasn't anything too horrific - just couldn't stay awake and felt a bit anxious.
