GBL Megathread: 3ml and Wobbling

Hmm sounds interesting, gonna have to follow that one up, always just assumed BD was the poor relation of GBL, but if it gets more of the 'E' feeling back then I'm well in for that one, cheers Broken that's very interesting info. :)

Yep.

I've basically had a cold for weeks now. My parents are telling me to go to the doctor but I know why.

I'm having a week off all drugs (badly needed) and I have really bad man flu today =D. I'm clean from GBL almost 48 hours so hopefully I'm not going to go into any more serious withdrawal. A cold is hardly serious withdrawal, but permanently living with one is a bit daft 8).

At the same time it will be down to each individual. I've had access to a 250ml bottle of BD for 6 weeks and only had a few doses. I've read everything I can about it and no one is sure about its toxicity, with some accusing it of being equivalent to ethylene glycol (anti-freeze) and others taking it for years and saying its not fucked them up.
It definetly feels slightly toxic, and I wouldn't 24/7 it like GBL for fear of totally fucking my liver and other organs:\

I'm not saying its anti-freeze but some cunt on erowid has and elsewhere on this site in the past.
The reasoning behind this is that BD is also called butylene glycol which makes it similar. However ethanol and methanol are similar and yet the toxicity difference is huge.

Think I'll have some of my notanti-freeze tomorrow.
 
The difference between 10ml of butylene glycol and ethylene glycol would most likely involve the differences between temporary coma and multiple organ failure. If not then I'd be down Tesco to get me some anti-freeze for a significantly lower price per ml:|

Yeah I'd probably just use it on one off basis here and there and have regular GBL for the most part, i can't see it been too bad though especially short term.
 
Whats wrong with bluelight? I thought this was a HARM REDUCTION SITE. This shouldn't be a thread, if anything, change it to "The GHB Megathread." GBL is toxic and extremely dangerous, especially if you don't know what kind of GBL you are getting. Yes, a lot of you will disagree, but pure GHB powder (NAOH) is a hell of a lot safer than GBL, Alcohol, and MANY drugs.. :\

Yeah but while GBL is legal it is pretty safe, especially if you get it from a reputable source, GHB is not ' A hell of a lot safer' it's safer yes but not massively, the fact is the user is more often the problem rather than GHB/GBL, and how do you know what GHB your getting ? Same problem could occur there anyway, overall I fail to see your point in regard to it been a hell of a lot safer.
 
^ We talk about GBL on here as most of us are on these godforsaken isles to the west of the European mainland and its still currently legal and very easy to get whereas GHB has been illegal to buy and possess for years.
And I personally don't want NA-GHB as its got a huge amount of sodium in. I'd personally want K-GHB, which I've been meaning to make for years:|

Also our GBL is 99.9% pure, whereas obviously in other countries fuck knows what you are getting!
 
Err, GBL is toxic? Please cite any evidence you have.
Very few people deny that GBL can have potentially dangerous effects if misused, but GHB is similar if not identical in many of these issues.

Different kinds of GBL? Never heard of different kinds. Don't start spouting shite with no evidence to back it up. That's the worst kind of 'harm reduction'.

I had GHB for the first time today, I like it and probably prefer it to GBL to be hoenst. It is a lot more mellow and doesn't kick ones arse so much. I think it feels more euphoric because it hasn't got that agressivness to send you to sleep.

Yeah back in the day we used to take GHB at raves.. I remember going to one chill out afterwards and everyone was on it, the scenario there was epic, people passing out and falling down the stairs, it was epic ! So yeah it is euphoric GHB defo moreso than GBL.
 
GBL hits harder and faster than GHB i would disagree that GHB is more euphoric at all just sounds like people were dosing irresponsibly.
 
I don't understand how people can come to a harm reduction forum where drug nerds frequent and decide to offer some ill-informed harm reduction advice. Strange people indeed.
