Gay men banning hetro's and lesbians from their 'gay' club... WTF ?

^hehehehehe.

I also agree with Zephyr's point about more MDMA and less meth...but let's face it, Meth is a predominant drug in the gay scence. Also...stay away from the "amyl" they sell there or near there, it's cheap and nasty and I don't think its even amyl at all. Who would want amyl anyway, when nangs are sooo much better.
 
I really don't understand why such a fuss is being made out of this, as the majority of the people who would have a problem with this ruling would not be likely to willingly enter a homosexual establishment anyway.

My thoughts exactly...most "homophobes" are that way out of just being completely uncomfortable with the lifestyle, and they have this idea that every gay man would automatically be attracted to them and want to do horrible demonic things to them...8)

I understand this is Australian Social-but this thread just caught my eye as I love to go to gay bars. The atmosphere is friendlier, I can dance my ass off without the constant fucking pick up lines. So I go frequently go with gay friends, would the club prevent me from going then? What if I claimed to be a lesbian? (I know the specific club you are talking about already specified no lesbians, I'm just thinking about if this becomes a trend among the gay community.) The club that I like to go to, has a pretty decent mix of gay men and lesbian women. Besides that, most gay men that I know, love their female friends (Faghags, I guess) whether they are straight or not.

I don't know, I just think it's just another thing promoting discrimination, and it just gives right wing/fundies/conservatives more ammunition...a step backwards for sure, IMO.

You didnt see the add, I did, and I found it offensive. It doesnt matter if it were a gay naked man, a hetro naked man or a naked woman in that add, it was offensive.

Not that I'm saying it wasn't offensive, but at the time all that shit was hitting the fan, there was an editorial in one of the gay papers that mentioned how there were at least two or three straight dance clubs running Anzac Day ads in all the street press and such with scantily-clad women in your standard "I photoshopped this from the cover of a porno" poses, and nobody batted an eyelid.

The only reason there was such a storm in a teacup about it was that it was fags doing it....the fact that it was actually tasteless was just a bonus because it gave people a valid reason to be able to point the finger at all these evil sodomites for a change.... :\

All in my admittedly jaded opinion of course..... :)
 
The publicity this stunt is bringing to this pretty ordinary, shitty club that plays crap music anyway seems to have served its purpose.

How is me being dicriminated against based on my sexual prefrence being a 'drama queen'. The hypcrocy makes me sick.

And I wasnt thinking about showing up at the Peel and acting like drama queen, Ill leave that to the patrons they let it.

I was thinking more action in terms of getting in contact with politicians who may support equality among the community.

It's their fucking club, they can do whatever they want. God life is too short to be getting so worked up over something like this. Kick and scream and write them many angry letters, they will just throw them all in the trash.

It is starting to come across like you are making this all about you ... bit sad really. Maybe you need to take up a hobby..... you seem bored.

OT Breakabeat it seems like you're really trying to make an issue of this. This is nothing new, nor is it unique to the gay scene. EX-CLUS-IVITY is the word, and whatever form it takes, it is annoying and yes, completely non-egalitarian, but it is a reality. So fucking get used to it, eh.
