Gay BlueLighters Unite!

Yeah man there are heaps of gay people on here! And transexuals, and bisexuals (raises hand). I don't think there is one particular thread in which gay/trans/bi people post though...
But rest assured, we are a very accepting community here at Bluelight :) Especially in this forum (Sex, Love & Relationships). So, welcome!! <3

Honestly, we all just talk about our individual sexual habits within the threads of SLR. As long as you make sure you say "oh, by the way, I'm (insert GLBT here)", you're good to go. I haven't had anyone diss me yet here. Every once in a while, you might see a "what's up with GLBT people, anyway" thread, but just feel free to type away what you want to say.

On BL we don't like sticking gay people in their own little areas. We allow them right out in the open! ;)

I'm probably too casual, but I really don't care about sexuality to make a big deal of it either way. I really like Priest's posts, because I just think his experiences are interesting. I would never do the stuff he does, so it's like living vicariously and just a ferocious curiosity. Most of my friends are gay men, but we aren't close enough to talk about stuff in detail like he does.
 
This seems like a great thread to ask - as a 'Gay' person do you find the term 'So gay' (when used to describe something as stupid/lame etc) as homophobic/offensive?

For years people have struggled (died) so people can have Gay rights / Gay marriage and now it seems that its almost acceptable that the term 'Gay' = Wrong/lame/stupid etc.

I have asked the question before,

What is the difference between

That person is so gay - has sex with the same sex

That person is so gay - lame, stupid, idiot

I have received mixed reactions from around the globe / age groups - so I'm curious to hear your view.

(Do I feel a poll coming on?)
 
every freak in the world is on here. there is even a few normal people here and there too.

Using the term pejoratively has always bothered me (as well as referring to something positive as 'straight') but in my experience, most people who employ the word as such are usually immature idiots lacking much of a vocabulary rather than hateful homophobes - not that they're any less insufferable!
 
I am hardly on here anymore, but I am gayer than christmas!

I have always found bl to be pretty much the most accepting place on the internet I have ever been, I am glad that there isn't really a specific queer forum, because I really think there isn't one needed here. I have always been completely open about who I am here and have never had any dramas. :)
