I came to BL tonight just for this thread! Battle of Blackwater was definitely better than the week before.

So, ummm, tyrion I guess isn't going to lose his nose like in the book and I thought he was on ships when he got cut? I know I know, I'm a purist. :D

It sucks ass it's the last episode and they are making us wait a year. Well, I guess it's True Blood after that. I'm excited for this season of that too.

I cannot WAIT until book 3. Book 3 was my favorite.

Best episode yet! fucking love it. Tyrions the man and will gain his feet again. Pissed Sansa didn't leave with the hound up to the north. That would have meant both Arya and Sansa were headed home allowing the Starks to regain their breath a little once they find out the truth about whats up with winterfell (bran and rickon still being alive).

I'm still working my way through the first book, but I'm loving it.

Season finale was kinda sucky, IMO.

I'm not sure what they are trying to accomplish with the Qarth storyline, to be honest. And I have no clue where the hell Sam is now. Halfhand and Jon's interactions and the motivation behind them seems not to be as clear as in the books. I don't know what the hell happened at Winterfell. And in regards to Robb...

I may be looking forward to the Red Wedding just to end all this foolishness.

I understand that in adapting a series to the screen, storylines will have to be simplified. Characters will have to be removed or merged. Details will have to be left out. Locations may be merged to decrease set costs.

But there's stuff they are adding (Robb and whats-her-name), Dany and the dragon abduction, etc, just fills up screen time without really contributing to character development or the overall plot.

absolutely. i'm halfway through book 3 and my gf has read none of them. we talked about this a fair bit last night. i thought the quorin/jon situation was handled much better in the book and the interpretation in the show was confusing.
