IMO the Brooklyn one is way nicer.. and right by the Brooklyn Museum, which I think also has a free day (I can remember walking around the gardens on acid once and then my friend realizing that the museum was free that day.. i think it was a saturday afternoon maybe)

I'll be visiting my girl up in nyc for the holidays (about a month december 20ish-jan20ish) and was sondering the same things, last time I was in NY was in 2006 and I used to be a junkie and copped H off the street, now I wear a buprenorphine patch, and enjoy the ocasinal strong opioid pill, but I'm older and been thru a lot of shit and gone far to throw it away for some dope, and I don't wanna fuck around in front of my girl, alo how's the situation with weed, what happens if you get caught with one joint and are a tourist?

Sorry if I'm breaking some rules, I'm kinda jaded, but bluelight has always helped me keep safe and no ripped off throughout the world all these years, so thanks for the input....I'll be mostly at the harlem area,and at Newark too....my Girlfiend is asian and blends perfectly, I'm a skinny tall Swe dude that dresses funny and as a wird face, I'm almost 30 and been thru hardcore shit, but I wanna keep it safe, any tips on what NOT to do? I'll be bringing my presriptions with me, but I'll need weed, I dunno if price-area asking is breaking any rules.

Also I come froma very dangerous city in latin america, so I know how to look up after myself, but i NY it's different and i'm kind of autistic and if someone yells something at my girl and I'm kinda drunk here I could reply knowing nothing would happen...should I just keep my mouth shut if a similar situation happened in NY? Last thing I wanna do is traveling 8000miles to fight in the streets heh. Cheers!

^^^ I don't think anybody is gonna talk shit to you and your girl so I wouldn't worry about fighting. The only ppl that would talk shit are dumb drunks and just ignore them. This is all assuming that your not going into bad neighborhoods with her.

Your not getting in trouble for a joint, although a rookie class of police officers will graduate and be on the street in like 4 months so they might be a little strict although they are told not to arrest ppl for a while. If you get caught, just show you patch, say you used to be worse, and that the weed helps with side effects from the patch as you do not want to have to take anymore pills to counteract said effects.

Don't have an open alcohol container (I saw u said you like to drink) or atleast have it in a brown bag.
 
i would advise visitors considering any verbal unsolicited offer of any drug-resembling substance *on the island of manhattan below at least 155th street* that responding in any way is far more likely to get you in trouble than get you high.
 
Clean bombs or real molly is VERY hard to come by in NYC...get it before you leave home. PIPES have taken over for so long, even people who have experience with MDMA have forgetten what it feels like. You'd be well advised not to buy in NYC. Don't even think about trying to buy in the clubs either...most of them are crawling with undercovers and even if you find a dealer, the chances he's got something worth buying are almost zero. It's a sad state of affairs here...really.

As far as clubbing goes, what types of clubs are you into? The difference in people and vibes in NYC clubs is huge.

I was wondering I live in westchester NY but im looking for any nyc or hudson valley raves im talking old school shit. Im sick of the mainstream club scene with bouncers and security...

^Have you tried the Sullivan Room on Sunday nights? It's a pretty descent crowd by NYC club standards today. No dress code, no search on the way in, not too much security inside, clean bathrooms and an overall laid back non-judgemental friendly vibe. I hadn't been out in awhile and checked it out on the advice of a friend. It's not very big, but it's the closest thing to the old-school party scene that you're gonna get in NYC. Only like $15 to get in too, I think.

Are you serious?! Those fuckers are still around? I used to see them jump guys at parties back in the 90s. They contributed hugely to the demise of NYC's rave scene. Used to have to roll in myself with groups of friends and really look out for each other cause of those scumbags. I was a cracked out 140lb raver back then, but not anymore...would love to get my hands on one of them :X

So that's the NYC part of my trip over.. Didn't bother really looking as the people I spoke to all said it would be almost impossible to get a hold of anything decent. I'm now in Chicago and planning on going to smart bar and boom boom room (plus hopefully some good bars playing house music) Will I be wasting my time looking here too?

NYC night life & tourism?

Hey everyone, I'm from Alberta Canada and am hoping to take a trip to NYC soon. When is a good time to go? I was thinking maybe January or February (and hopefully the weather wouldn't be too much of an issue). What are some things to do there, tourism wise during the day? We would maybe wanna go to a rave or some good EDM clubs as well, can I get some suggestions?

like someone said already, if a guy on the streets is trying to start shit it is most likely because he is just drunk passing by and shouting shit. New Yorkers love walking by your group and saying something loud and stupid when it's a big drinking night. just ignore them.

in all reality, you have more to worry about with the police. if you respond to some douche bag yelling at you, and start to get into even a minor scuffle - the finest of New York City will be on you like stink on shit with half boners and batons and pepper spray ready to get you.

NYC, most specifically Manhattan, is truly a police state. they are everywhere you walk so it's best to just blend in with the faceless NYC crowd and not do anything to stick out
 
IHey thanks for the replies....I'm about to leave, I had one question I'm on buprenorphine Manteinance, but I wear the patches, and those arent available in the states, I bringing just enough to be covered for the trip along with a note from my psychiatrist saying all the meds Im scripted, and why Im scripted them....Benzows,Lyrica,Zolpidem,Tramadol,Valproate(though I donät take those last 2 ) Buprenorphine, I take high doses everyday, just as scripted, to make life a little less tough or a little more functional, or to help me stay alive, I really dunno why, but I need my meds...I know what would happen otherwise and nobody wants that, and with all the things people have been telling me as of late (people getting thropwn in jail in NYC for carrying oxys that werenät on a bottle with their name and shit like that) I'm getting worried....I mean should I be straightforward with the customs? I travelled to the states with meds many times, but never with so many (well yes, but was just for a couple of days en route somewhere else if I was carrying my scripted arsenal)...I know customs are federal and all that but since there are medical preparations that dont even exist in the states and Im scripted them (buprenorphine patchwes or bromazepam for example), should I be explaining that I really need 120 pills of clonazepam 60 pills of bromazepam etc etc....to make things worse Iäm sorta hipocondriac so I always travel with OTC stuff enough for a couple of years.....hope I donå t get in trouble just for doing the right thing, taking my meds, hope bigpharma has us voered, lifetime customers, but I doinät think it works like that, so I was wondering, what happens when you travel to the states being scripted drugs that arenät available there? I have scripts for everything.....but here meds come in blister packs, sometimes only blisters without boxes or any sort of form of identifyng them as yours, asides from a letter from my psychiatrist.

Hope Iäm not breaking any rules, if I do move-delete....but this thing has had me sleepless the last couple of nights....thanks.
