No it is the waist obesity that correlates better for type II diabetes than BMI or central obesity. I thought it was a common knowledge but it seems not.

Edit: Ok. Checked my library room and find it. It has been released it last year so it may have not hit you yet.

I may have hit to a wall of language barrier here. I speak finnish as my native language so it is my fault if you mean that waist obesity and central obesity are the same for you. But if you translate it directly from my language to english waist and central obesity are not the same obesity types. So at first I need to find out how the thing I mean as a central obesity is translated into english.

I think the contrast we are looking for is visceral vs subcutaneous fat stores. Visceral fat stores, or fat which is kept between the organs rather than on top of them, are much more risky health-wise.

Also, to the guy who said don't do endurance cardio because it promotes cortisol, yes costisol is a wicked nasty hormone, but when it comes to endurance cardio vs. no cardio, don't be an moran (sic), obviously go for the cardio. A 1200kcal Mountain Dew + multivit diet may be horrible, but it's still better than starving yourself with 0kcal...

I would like to be motivated to find the source for you, sir. HOwever I am going to fry some potatoes and eggs and turkey bacon :\

just think how T3 burns fat (ie by increasing body temp). You increase body temp you increase lipolysis (fat burning). Now localize this effect by creating metabolic energy through muscle contraction and you have the same effect its just localized.

The study had to do with leg press and leg extension and thigh fat iirc.

so in this case, doing planks would be the best thing to help metabolize that shtuff%)

Run more. Best way to lose it in addition to diet is running imo. Though it's easier said than done.
