Four addictions. In what order do I quit them?

Hello all. I am in my mid-thirties and have been a user for all of my adult life. Started with pot and within a few years I had tried most other "hard" drugs. Opioids really hooked me, and before long, I was taking them daily. I realized that opiate addiction would be cost prohibitive, so I switched to methamphetamine, which was readily available at the time. After a good, three-year run, I gave that up, too. Unfortunately, the PKs crept back into my life, and over the next ten years I battled that old monkey again. Finally, I believe I have kicked the opioid addiction, but at what cost? I currently use four addictive substances every day (not counting caffeine and nicotine). 20mg Adderal (morning), about 2g of pot throughout the day, 1mg Xanax and 40mg of Citalopram (before bed). Only the Citalopram is prescribed to me. I hold a full-time job and live on my own. I am curious what others think of my daily regimen. Most novices seem shocked by it, but I don't think it's that bad. I do want to eventually quit everything. Which one should I start with? I think the order should be 1) pot, 2) Xanax, 3) Adderal and 4) Citalopram. What say you BLers?

I would advise switching pot to be the last one (unless you see it as being more of a problem than the others)
My advice would be to go in this order:
1) Adderall
2) Xanax
3) Citalopram
4) Weed

Agree the Xanax should prob be first.
I would suggest:
1) Xanax
2) Adderall
3) Citalopram
4) Weed
Giving up the Xanax before bed will make stopping the Adderall in the morning easier. Good luck!

I'd select you DOC and start there. Xanax can be helpful when you are quitting your doc which seems to be Adderall.
After you have that settled get off Xanax. Do you need to quit Citalopram? Because that is prescribed right?
Adderall and Xanax, weed and ask your doctor about Citalopram. I could be useful while you get your life back on track.
Good luck!

Definitely weed last. I'd go Adderall first and then cirtalopram, Xanax and then weed. Adderall will be difficult no doubt. Stopping that will change your sleeping routine which will probably effect you xanax use. Let it if you can. Cirtalopram is a tricky one and you should lower it until you stop and not just stop it dead. Also take it in the morning rather than at night. It could effect your sleep otherwise. Gradually lower it over the course of a month and see how you feel. Xanax will also be one you'll want to lower rather than dead stop. Try and get off those as soon as you can. You may struggle sleeping but you could aid that with cannabis. Try to get hold of some high indica cannabis if you can and maybe try eating a dose (half a gram) before bed and see if that helps. Hope this info helps. PM me if you want any more info. Good luck! x
