Bluelighter
I'd like to shift the focus of this thread just a nudge. Thought I might put a little on each of the buring devces that one may use in the process of using a bong.
BIC (Or similar) lighter:
Probably the most common lighting impliment and most easily found. I have found that the mini bic is actually easier to use than the full size version. I find the chance of accidental burning with the full size version to be greater.
The only real problem with this type of lighter is the that if smoking in the great outdoors any wind may cause the user some frustration.
Electric butane lighters:
These are the bomb as they are completely wind proof. The also have th added advantage of burning completely green and a little moist mull. Disadvatage is that they make the smoke real hot so my advice is to always use a double chamber minimum when using these lighters.
Matches:
You have to be desperate for these suckers to come out. THey are usless in the wind, you have little control and time and most importantly they make the draw vback taste like sulfur.
