Do you mean the stems and leaves or the buds??Alot of very good strains are naturally purple(bubblegum and blueberry for example)so it could be excellent.Then again every strain i've dreamt about growing have been different shades of green and purple stems indicated lack of nutrients.Anyways unless your friend cloned from a plant he knows about or bought from a reliable seed bank,they wont know if its good till they harvest.....Cheers 8)
