Footy Tipping / AFL 2006

Oh the irony! :D

Dale's considering having our cat pick the teams for him this year he's doing so badly, and he really tries, and is really interested in it.

I'm a bit in the middle. I watch bits of games, know a little bit about the teams and where they are on the ladder, but could not banter with anyone on any sort of technical level about the game, nor do I bother reading sports sections or anything. The radio is on with the footy talkback shows at our house most weekends and I pick up a bit from that.
 
Still coming average... 5 ain't bad... I should really start caring a bit more... I'm sure I will once the Super 14 is over ;)

I'm over AFL already. Sadly the cricket is over and so is the soccer and basketball doesn't start for a few months, so I'm left sitting there starting at the football, kind of like when you've had a huge night, and all you wanna do is close your eyes, and sleep, but there's one person still sitting on your couch who you don't like and wont leave and insists on talking to you and seeking your attention...

well kind of like that anyway :\ :|

It's so frustrating watching the boys choke each week when they've had ampol opportunities to win. Too many players not having a crack :X
 
I shoulda got in on this tipping comp too!! Love the game....i'm in a few tipping comps and am happily sitting in the main one at position 95 out of 2665...yay :)

I did bad this week, real bad.

Dockers played about as terrible as my tipping.

It's official....I'm a paid up member of the most insipid football club in the AFL....

Essendon find new ways to lose every week- today we had a player who managed to miss a goal from a metre out directly in front, a coach who left the same under-sized player on Fevola the entire match (the Shag finished with seven, and should have kicked ten)

And to top it all off, our inspirational former captain managed to reaggravate his hamstring injury- not running at full pace after somebody, but bending over to pick up the fucking ball....I mean you've got to consider giving the game away if that happens don't you?

Of the three worst sides in the league this year.....we are one, and we've been beaten by the other two.
