Footy Tipping / AFL 2006

Aurora Stadium capacity - 20,000
Bellerive Oval largest crowd - 16,000

Didn't one of the teams play a game in Bellerive once (a few years ag)and got a really, really shitty turnout?

This won't make the AFL rethink shit, least of all where to play football games.

The right team got the four points- St Kilda knew it, Fremantle knew it, my mother knew it.....so be it.

Tipping going along swimmingly, just sitting in behind the leaders before I make my move at about the Round 14 mark.

And I really want to express this opinion....I am SICK and TIRED of 99% of football supporters (my own teams included) spraying the umpires every time a decision goes against them.
The amount of times I have had to explain the rules of football to ignorant fans in the crowd baffles me. I'm all for one-eyed patriotism, but have the audacity to blame the umpires for your team losing is pathetic.

At least have the self-respect to stand up and say 'we weren't good enough on the day'

dockers/saints game aside, I think the umpiring this season has reached an all new level of complete shite....

Thankfully however, it seems to be going both ways so there can be no calls for favouring this year...

Would you mind giving specific examples?

Im the first to admit, the umpires get it wrong occasionally- but for every mistake umpires make, players make at least ten. Blame them for the the poor displays of football we've seen this year.

If an umpire makes 3 mistakes in a game, he's dropped. If a player makes that many, he's had a great game.

Well no, I don't, because it's not something I spend my time committing to memory, suffice to say that the poor calls are there, but they're also consistently poor, in a way, I was kinda complimenting the umpires because they aren't influencing the course of the game with inconsistent bad calls, with the exception of the saints/dockers game, as I pointed out 8( 8(

If you forget to put your tips in you get allocated all the away teams I thought. You would have killed last week ;)

^^

+1 fucken unpredictable ponces, maybe they should change their name to the geelong dockers and start wearing pink and orange....

Go my Bomber boys, found yet another way to lose by less than a goal.

Witnessed the worst display of supporting ever- Richmond kicked a goal to be 16 pts up in the last quarter, dickhead supporter in front of me snapped his membership card in half and threw it onto the ground.

Scotty Lucas kicks three goals to put us back in front, and this guy is cheering and screaming like a madman. I unleashed one of my finest verbal barrages to date, and suggested if he didn't shut up he would be making close acquainance with my clenched left fist.

Dickheads

Worst sportsmanship award this weekend goes to the people in subicao oval on saturday booing and jeering Juddy when he won best on ground.

Singing along to AC DC TNT when we won was bloody gold tho =D

5, not bad. But comeon where's my 7's and 8's!? I must be saving them up for a big burst right at the end. I remember actually last year I came 3rd or something on the back of two 8's later in the season.

OhSoBec - nice work!

Let it be known that I do not watch football (with the exception of last Friday night cos work put me in the corporate box with free booze), I do not read about football and I do not talk about football. I really don't like it much at all.

Yay for awesome guess work!!

:p
