First US Marijuana Cafe Opens in Oregon

i personally think ALL "drugs" (whats the difference between "medicine" and "drugs"?) should be legalized/decriminalized, so i guess this is pretty cool...but pfffft...let me know when something actually worth-while is legalized

marijuana users are not "drug addicts"

If you believe in "drug addiction", then you can't say that "marijuana users" (where do u draw the line?) aren't or can't be "drug addicts." From age 15-21, I smoked weed every possible moment of every single day. Addict? Nah. I was just a pothead. Pffft. Marijuana is a drug like any other drug.

yeah I live in Portland didn't know about this madness. I used to be addicted to heroin now I smoke and stay away from pharmaceuticals think I can snag a card easily?

Ah, if only I wasn't conscious of the difficulties of maintaining custody of a special needs child when you have a MM card... If only our society could accept that responsible drug use is possible with regards to weed. Just because I care for someone who has needs above and beyond a typical child doesn't mean that I shouldn't have the opportunity to take a few bong rips several stories away from said ward after they are peacefully asleep with the child monitor on.

Another step towards freedom, Go Oregon,
California.. don't get hurt, we all know you're ballers in the medical mj world... but now you gotta up your game, open even MORE epic cafe's then Oregon... or go completely legit? isn't that up for a vote?
