First time on the Slopes - Ski or Snowboard?

Snowboarding, you will be frustrated with it for a day or 2, but then it just seems to click and is much easier to progress. The first time i went snowboarding by the end of 4 days lessons, i got down a black slope without crashing. That is not to say i was very good at it but i managed it.

I had no idea about the differing learning curves. hmmm...
My dad switched from skiing to snowboarding 'cause he got bored of the latter.
