fruitfly -- You're in San Francisco? In San Francisco there are many Indian Restaurants and over in Berkely are a lot of Indian stores/delis. Raja on Haight is really good and Tasty Curry on 7th near Irving is the best one I've been to here (mmm, it's so good!) Naan N' Curry is okay (they have awesome tea), but don't go to the on on 7th. These are the only ones I've been to in the year I've been here, but I also work a min. wage job, so am broke too much. Back in Fresno where I grew up we had a very concentrated and small amount of Indian markets and restaraunts. There was this one store I used to go to called India Sweets & Spices and they had the most delicious samosas for 50 cents each! I've seen them here for as much as 2.00, which is outrageous because it's not as if they're that hard to make or have such exotic ingredients, but this is San Francisco and some people think they can charge an arm and a leg for diversity.
MilesTeg-I've never had salted licorice, where can you buy it? I've had candy brought back from Sweden and have to say it's so much better then your dime a dozen candy stores here. I mean shit swedish fish are the best things in an American candy store besides jaw breakers.
