EFC18, I am 52 so I lived in the 70's. It was boring and very low tech!

There are a few movies I can't remember how many times i've seen, and will certainly watch again:

Eraser Head
The Godfather (I)
Short films of Svankmajer (I own all of them), especially dimensions in dialogue.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

staring at my film collection wondering what to watch... kontroll never fails to poke my eyes out.

the comic characters are incomparable in american cinema, the cinematography (considering the space constraints) is impressive, the soundtrack is haunting and used appropriately and beautifully...

for those that don't know, the entire film is shot in bowels of the budapest metro system. it's an amazing place to set a movie. the director, nimród antal (director of the new predators movie) brings genuine life to the darkness and colours it with magic that never strays to the mystical but always straddles the philosophical. i can't give him much credit for his other films but this one is a beaut.

oh yeah, if you hate subtitles don't bother. and for that matter, go away :p

indiana jones collection also draws my attention always. i love to watch adventure movies that don't just revolve entirely around the main character, which sadly seems to be a huge problem with cinema as of late.

oh, i can't leave you without a tune from the kontroll soundtrack. to get you in the mood n all
