i've definitely seen worse movies, that's for sure, but i'm definitely not going to defend this one.

its good to see People who can actually still tell a story like it should be. All his movies are unreal and this one was no different. Say what u want about it but i think hes amazing and his movies bring somthing to the table that no one else can.

I didn't see and and I don't plan on seeing it. This review from The New Republic had me giggling a few times.

I just saw this yesterday and it was a 3 star to me. Problem is I had to explain it to my wife. She did not understand the ending. She was waiting for the twist to come.

I told her that this movie is about the beached whale phenomena except this time, it's human.

and since i was drinking tonight, i decided to give it a laugh. and many laughs i did give it.

this is even worse than even I expected. i can say without any exaggeration, without any jest, that i can write better than this
in one day. one hour even.


fucking pathetic. lowest score possible. a fucking joke.

Wow. People are still going to see this? It's like going into a room filled with deadly snakes and being bitten. Then, the word gets out about the room full of snakes and more people go in to check it out.

I've had it with the muthafuckin environment in the muthafuckin Happening!

This movie was so lame. It was just a bunch of people being like, OMG its coming! and running away. and then some people killing themselves. and then they were safe for awhile. and then OMG its coming again! When you get so bored with a movie that you want the main characters to die, you know its bad.

^ very good summation. to pick on the 'realism' of this film or any of his films is asinine. suspend your disbelief and let him work his magic.

think of this along the lines of a romero film in terms of politics and horror, but with the emotional sway and drama of someone like speilberg. yeah the the execution was imperfect, but it's craft is a hell of a lot more interesting than the majority of mainstream cinema.
