i think this is a live recording of van morrison singing with floyd from a while ago. not sure if/when it was released, but it's kinda an obscure pick for a film trailer. scorsese always has great soundtracks, imo.

Definitely not Van Morrison. I'm fairly certain it's Roger Waters singing it as his voice is basically shot these days. This flim does look sweet, though.

Well, I've seen it, and was impressed. Everything is done right, great lines, interesting plot, music, acting, angles all work. All in all a great film... but not, I would say, a classic, because there's very little in this film that's actually original. Take all the good parts from all the good crime films you've ever seen, mix them together well, and you've got The Departed

Is Frank Costello supposed to be part of an irish gang? What a crock... I was hoping this was about the REAL Frank Costello who took over what was to become the Genovese borgata from Charlie Lucky Luciano. The only irish thing about Frank was his name, which he adopted during his days as a prizefighter, when many Italian's adopted irish names.
