you like dags?

how's this for weird. when i saw snatch on TBS they edited out the word Pikey sp? and used the word gypsie in its place.... ok it gets stranger when they edit out the slur "gypo" in reference to gypsie. im sure the american censors had a hell of a time trying to figure out which words to edit out:D

I saw a butchered "Asian Market" version of Lock Stock In China. They tried to take out most of the swearwords and all references to drugs. I think it lasted just over an hour and made little sense - lol

the alchoholism scene in lock stock and two smoking barrels is my favorite drinking scene in any movie... what drinker hasn't seen that scene and felt communion- so many nights turn out like that, table covered in booze and empty glasses, burnt cigarettes... the room is spinning and everyone gets rowdy...

snatch was good and stylish, but ls2sb was soooo much more fun...

I own them both, I do prefer Snatch over Lock, Stock though, it has Dennis Farina.

"Do you have anything to declare?"

"Yeah! Don't go to England."

I think there was another movie that came out from the same people that was centred around a karaoke bar... I can't remember the name of it but I know it did have one of the main guys from The Talented Mr. Ripley in it. That's not very helpful but it had a really funny viagra scene in it...

* Edit - Guy is Jude Law and movie is Love, Honour and Obey... It also had sick boy from trainspotting in it...

"Ray: How's Alan?
Burdis: Well, for someone who's been stabbed, tortured, force fed LSD, thrown out of a window, and blown up, I'd say he's feeling pretty bad. Wouldn't you, Ray?
Ray: What's his middle name, Lucky?"

Film: snatch

I know this is an old movie ... I bought it last night (for like 1 million $US) and can't appropriately express how much I liked it.

The 3 black stick-up guys were fucking HILARIOUS, Pitt was a gypsy bad-ass, the camera work was (albeit typical for Ritchie) eye-pleasing and all of the acting was excellent, in my opinion.

I give it a solid 3 stars.

What'd everyone else think of this?

I've only seen it once, but I enjoyed it. I could probably go for a second viewing.

The worst of his movies that I've seen . . . I liked it better when it was called Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels . . . but still a good film, would be most other director's crowning achievement . . . :) three stars as well here . . .

^I have this curse where I've never seen Lock Stock all the way through. I must have tried to watch that movie at least ten times. Something always distracts me.

I liked it a lot. I didn't think it was too much of a carbon copy of "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels" to distract from the humor and obvious Tarantino influence.
