eh ive never read any review for saw. if i like a movie though, then its good, if i dont like it, then it sucks. you are free to feel differently. i just dont think saw was a good movie. i dont remember it well enough to write a proper review but i do remember i didnt like it.

For a movie with a few holes, this was pretty damn good. I'm a big fan of se7en style horror, and while yeah I irritated the shit out of my now ex gf by doing the whole 'moron use the shirt' thing when the doc was busy doing some DIY amputation, on the whole, the movie was pretty satisfying. My fond hope is that the sequel is not suck^2, because that would be a tragedy when they could do it so well. I also was puzzled somewhat at the idea of the 'corpse' being able to stay put without breathing or giving any signs of life the whole time.

However, it was an interesting premise, and I'm always up for a horror/thriller with some interesting methods of killing, and this had that in spades.
